I just took a look at the Last Blocks on the p2pool. Block 184024 listed 3 times with 3 different hashes. This behavior could be causing the problems?

This coin pops up on the profitability list from time to time, but it seems to be abandoned, or maybe not abandoned but lower priority of the dev?  Its an interesting coin and kind of a shame.  If the dev doesn't want to operate strong seeds, why not get some volunteers to run a few and connect them together, and pop them into the code and release an update with the known good seeds and some checkpoints to get everyone onto the right chain?  It seems kind of unusual to have a coin forking constantly although sometimes with popular coins it happens.  Three strong seed nodes and checkpoints should at least help to alleviate it a little.  Maybe somebody can do a quick scan of the source and see if anything obvious jumps out that could be tweaked?

It's called a 'Suppressive Act' either thought omission or commission.
In this case it would be omission, i.e. omitting to cause the coin to move forward smoothly and unfettered but such an easily avoidable in the first place - ridiculous 'allowed' flaws and developed unnecessary traffic as in tasks and distractions none of us signed up for!....We just want to mine our beloved coins to keep, hold or trade!
Somebody's gotta put a stop to this! I mean, look at CGA's stats! It's number frikkin 1 A LOT on CoinWarz!
It's a real money maker too!

I agree! The Dev either has to get this game goin again 'faithfully' and efficiently or give it over to other honorable people who will indeed work to perpetuate and stabilize CGA NOW!

For now, -sigh-, I'm mining Doge straight until this mess is cleared up once and for all! DOGE isn't as popular or profitable as CGA (unless - or else) but it sure is STABLE! Wink

W

Edit... It's a Suppressive Act to the degree that it does the least good and the greatest harm, as it sits, currently! This must be handled / corrected or the coin is doomed!

I know, it is a shame because you never know when you'r pool will derail on to a wrong chain. My pool switches on profibility too and sometimes CGA is on the top for a while, then to find out the exchanges are off the chain and I can't payout. really frustrating.

AFAIk, the last update 1.3.4.1 was to ass checkpoints and the ability to ban older clients from connecting...

seems it may not be working the greatest... cause I'm on the latest and I too get derailed for no apparent reason.

Huh?  Huh Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Grin

Hey yall,
my cga wallet is screaming "fill me!" .... I have 31 coins from way back when cga was new....
I see it's at #1 a lot to top 10 on coinwarz... maybe it's time to try mining it again.
Wallet is up to date...
What is a good pool or pools to mine cga from these days?
The ones recommended by the main cga site are all mostly dead now...
Suggestions welcome!
Thanks
Wolfey2014

The problem with coinwarz is, that they seem to be on the wrong chain with the low diff.

Edit:
They seem to have realized the problem now, as it is downlisted to the end with a warning.

I hate it when that happens!  Cheesy

Does anyone get "Transaction too large" errors when sending CGA from the wallet? I can't even send 1 CGA, and if it does let me send a small amount (0.75 or less usually) it says "transaction exceeds size limit, you can still send it but there will be a fee". The TX fee is no surprise, but how can someone be expected to send only 0.75 of any coin at a time? And yes I have the most up to date version of the wallet, post fork, everything is working normal except for this.

This can happen when your wallet has accumulated a lot of "dust". Seems to happen more frequently with coin that have smaller sat rewards like CGA, CGB, 21coin, 42 etc... google it, there are some tricks to get your wallet back in order.

probably cause you need to signup.

So wolfey2014.... you answer is to mine dodge on a new pool that hasn't found a block yet? You're just a sucker for punishment.

www.hasher.ca is on the right chain and paying out.

Also my multipool www.xpool.ca is on the correct chain and also mines CGA.

It won't get any stabler if no one wants to put some resources into it and mine it consistently.

Cheers!

No, punishment isn't the only thing I"m a sucker for Wink

Well, actually, that would depend on if you're talkin left brain or --- right brain rationalization? Definately limited to 2 dimensional thinking, I suppose I could see it your way if I weren't a clear thinker, of course Wink

Seems there is an incorrect fork in the CGA chain with over 50 peers on it .... including iSpace.

We have now rebuilt the wallet and blockchain and are now inline with the block explorer http://cga.thedigitalmint.org/

Also the registration / login problems have all now been resolved.

Yes, this is an ongoing saga.

Anyone have any tricks to keep this on the proper chain? I'll soon have to take CGA off my pools. It's the most time consuming and disruptive coin on them...

The last wallet-update was for the KGW-exploit-fix, which was 4/3/2014. After some hiccups shortly thereafter, because some did not update their wallets and some pool-owners did not update their daemons, so some were on the wrong fork, it is now running perfectly ever since then.

The miner(s) for address ATKnyLjBJz8kZii9tKNivsH8rw4SxcXP3N were mining at http://5.45.105.66:23932. Since the p2pool nodes form one big pool together, the address is listed the same way on http://cga.p2p.0x0a.nl:23932 as it is on http://5.45.105.66:23932 - it's the same payout list. However, graphs are generated with the stats of the miners at that node, so the graph for that address only appears on http://5.45.105.66:23932/static/graphs.html?Day. Vice versa, graphs for miners at 0x0a won't be on http://5.45.105.66:23932.

p2p.0x0a.nl for all your Cryptographic Anomaly, Cypherfunks, FryCoin, GameCredits, Gulden, PenguinCoin, and TittieCoin p2pool nodes! Err.. I mean needs! .. Both.

Wow, learned something new today about p2p, thought it was one node for all p2p pools. thanks guys. Smiley

Edit: Omg, i have my idiotic moments sometimes. This would be one. Carry on, nothing to see here, ignore what you hear... haha.
