p2p pool block 200380 Fri Jun 27 2014 14:13:55 GMT+0400 5d90bb2c799d439dcfa85de2421555981a78585c68accdc1de9e32afa92ad48a http://cga.thedigitalmint.orgBlock Count: 200282 Difficulty: 1.70557464 Connections: 52 Network H/s: 113717171 what is true? Usually the longest blockchain wins (that one with the highest block count). Just sent some CGA to Swisscex via the P2Pool-blockchain and they arrived without error. FYI - this is the market, if you want to trade there: https://www.swisscex.com/market/CGA_BTCBut we should really make clear, what is the situation. It is really more than annoying with nearly everyone on their own chain. Even the P2Pool-nodes are on three different chains ... my wallet on cga.thedigitalmint.org blockchain and synchronized ok { "version" : 1030401, "protocolversion" : 70006, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 1466.24396726, "blocks" : 200390, "timeoffset" : -8, "connections" : 7, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 1.17366310, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1391590665, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "mininput" : 0.00001000, "errors" : "" } why are so many forks ? that someone will decide? where the developers?

For me it seems that the wallets/daemons somehow don't communicate with each other to see, where is the longest chain and then automatically switch over to that. Instead the notorious message "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." appears. And you have to redownload/resync the blockchain. Something has to be corrected in the wallet, as it seems.

Do you supposed the only way to fix this is to perform a HARD fork and make sure all the big players are notified and confirmed updated?

In my opinion that would be only first aid. We had that already and it went bad again immediately after that. Maybe it is because of the ultra-short block times, which prevents to build up ONE blockchain among all peers. Maybe it is because the wallet is designed strangely? Who knows. Where is the dev? We definitely need him to chime in.

It seems that http://cga.thedigitalmint.org has catched up with P2Pools again. Maybe it simply is too slow, to keep the pace with P2Pools speed/power in solving blocks.

is version 1.3.4.1 the correct version for the wallet for cga? thanks I tried to transfser cons to poloniex and they never arrives, but it does arrive properly at swissex in addition - the block chain is running really slow - it was moving along well until about 5 hours ago and then slowed down dramatically. also - your block explorer appears to be out of date: http://cga.thedigitalmint.org/index.phpI just tried to find my successful transaction to swisscex and it does not show up.

I have a question on CGA blocks is there a block expoloer that does work?
and if the block time is 60 seconds how am I able to get multiple blocks (2 or 3) in one minute sometimes?
is it because they allocated 1 coin to each 60 second time slot and if the difficulty is low enough they still allocate 1 full coin, but just dole it out in 3 blocks of 1/3?

whats the proper blockchain now? Seems nothing up any more.
$ cryptographicanomalyd getmininginfo { "blocks" : 214817, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.80401178, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 24720447, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
but isn't saying there is an error with transactions... so whats up?

All these splitting block chains! Is this one reason, or the sole reason the DEV decided to call it '"the most illusive coin"? It definitely has proven itself to be an anomaly! Illusive 'valid' block chains.... What's the fun or interest in that? Adds no value to the coin whatsoever..... I've been leaving it alone if for the splitting chains. I don't have the interest in wasting even a neuron pulse on the distraction! FIX IT OR LET IT DIE! Wolfey2014

We just have to assume the dev got hit by a bus and died, and now all the pool operators and exchanges need to get on one chain. This has really gone on for too long.

Ive been speaking with a few mods/admins on poloniex and it seems our beloved Dev is busy installing hardwood floors or was it garage doors idk cant remember dont really care. Tf2honeybadger is supposedly the person who has taken on the responsibilities of the coin and is the person who is working on fixing the bugs that we have been dealing with lately. I spoke with him in Poloniex troll box and asked him to post on here to enlighten the community or hell just to show some life from the Devs of this coin. He said he would write something up....that was a week ago or so. I had a conversation with OldManKidd of Poloniex and he says real life issues with the Dev team are hampering progress for CGA right now. Patients a virtue.

is it because they allocated 1 coin to each 60 second time slot and if the difficulty is low enough they still allocate 1 full coin, but just dole it out in 3 blocks of 1/3?
Block times are an average, because block finding (mining) is a statistical process - sometimes no block is found for several minutes, sometimes several blocks are found within one minute. If the time between blocks gets too long, the diff (difficulty) goes down so finding a block becomes easier. If the time between blocks gets too short, the diff goes up to make block finding harder. If more people start mining or more powerful miners start finding more blocks, the diff goes up to make it harder. If miners switch off or go to another (more profitable) coin, the times between blocks increase due to the remaining miners finding blocks at lower rate, so the diff goes down to make finding easier again. All blocks that are found and become part of the block chain are rewarded according to the same formula (depending on the diff) either 1/3 fixed amount or less if the diff is higher than 3 or more when there is an "anomaly". It does not depend on the time since the last block was found. Hope this clarifies.
