Typically yes. The website is on a different server than the mining servers. I'm submitting shares with no issue at the moment.
And just a FYI for Wiz, eligius.st seem to be down at the moment.
Also, It seems like the stats site has been having rather high latency lately, seeming specifically in the morning(around this current time as of this post).

Ok, I hoped that this would be the case.

I for 1 would gladly accept an imposed small service flat fee for eligius stat server to use a more robust anti-DDOS system or service. I rely on the stat page to keep an eye on my farm when I am away.

+1. Fees are not a problem for me. All i care is that i can keep my eye on my miner while im away from home

Yes, good services should cost money. I would be willing to chip in something

Yet another DDoS last night. *sigh* I have alerts for the pool servers, but, generally the webserver can wait until I'm at my desk. The pool servers never went down, although a few nodes lagged enough for some miners to reconnect to other nodes. All of this appears to have lasted less than 5 minutes and was not even enough to trigger my alerts. Since when the stats go offline people seem to just not realize that the pool isn't actually down or adversely affected in any way, the attacker just focused on the web server. Should be fine now, with an ongoing attack I might add... I've been testing some upgrades to the webserver, including a bit better DDoS protection. So far so good actually, but going to a take a bit to work the kinks out. -wk

Wow, I just noticed that the last block (0000000000000000a7d0521b7fe409c823c9cf00a964a99c59e57fa3b4d8dfc2) was one of the luckiest in pool history at 30sec... there have been a couple of those in the last few weeks. Could the increase in the asics now in circulation have anything to do with this or is it overall pool hashrate or the increased number of miners? Or is it just my noob (not very in-depth) view of the stats?
It is quite simply just luck, which varies greatly in either direction. The fastest block ever for Eligius was block 277,885 ... which was mined 3 seconds after 277,884. -wk Yeah I noticed that and that block was mined on: 2013-12-31 09:01:22. Almost all of the "quickest" blocks from that one to the one just now were mined in the last 4 months or so... since the rise of the asics... it could also just be pure luck... It's more likely due to Eligius growing as a % of the network compared to mid-2013 and prior. Measuring luckiest blocks in terms of time since the previous block would be affected by that. A better way to measure the luckiest block would be the best shares vs difficulty ratio.
