I think if i had that much hardware for 500 plus th, I would build a private pool. I think they would be more $$$ to be made.
But I could be wrong thats for sure.
Since this pool is 0% fee, your expected reward would be exactly the same. However, you'd have greater variance mining alone. So no reason to not mine into a pool. This past year, I found 3 valid and 1 orphan blocks while mining at Eligius. I have received all time payout of 78.90441370 BTC, and am at 97.37% shares rewarded. I'm at 5 valid and 1 orphan in 7 months If I had been solo mining I would have made 125 BTC Before Eligius I found one block at Slush's

I just came back to Eligius a few days and noticed that I'm not getting paid out. Is there any kind of issue going on or is this normal? Unfortunately I was one of the sheep at GHash and I'm trying to move to a smaller pool. I already miss the consistent payout and monitoring tools. I'm not panicking, just hoping for more info.

If you're a Windows user, my Pool Monitor has extensive monitoring support it in for Eligius (probably more than any other pool). See my sig. M

Thanks for your replies. What I'm really missing are email notifications when hashrate drops by a certain percentage. On GHash I would get a notification on my phone when one of my miners drops significantly or they all drop (internet connection drops for example). I've been burnt in the past when my internet connection dropped for hours and the only issue was my modem needed a hard reset. Unfortunately this is happening way too frequent and I'm at the point where I don't trust my ISP or any for that matter! I usually pull up http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/YOUR_ADDRESS_HERE on my phone but I find myself checking this page way too often. I love the pool monitor application but I don't see anything for remote users. I don't really feel like Teamviewer or VPN + VNC is the best use of my time and resources to check on my equipment and internet connection. Thanks again! Anyone know when we're getting paid out? My unpaid balance is getting BIG!

Payout queue seems empty and even though I should be paid, I am not getting paid right now. All the block rewards found right now are going to a single address. What's going on today?

Looks like a failsafe triggered that the stats weren't taught how to pick up on. No worries.
I'll get it straightened out and get a manual payout done soon.

Fixed a very minor bug in the CPPSRB code that caused it to go into failsafe unexpectedly.
Unfortunately I've had to roll back CPPSRB's state to a snapshot from about a day ago and have it rebuild the share log from the core database, which is roughly 300 million shares behind real time.
Luckily the new database server is pretty badass, so it seems to be going pretty quickly. I still expect this to take a few hours.
As always, the pool is fine, and when CPPSRB catches up I'll get on doing a manual payout to catch everything up.
Edit: Lets see if this ETA is accurate later: Processing @ 69182379.27582 GH/sec (3932100 shares {2174550016 diff 1} in 135 seconds / 302,119,519 shares remain, ETA 10372.6088 seconds) It doesn't take into account the shares being submitted while it's processing though, so, probably will take a little longer than it thinks.
