Is there something going on with the site?

The first 3 days where great, then I started noticing huge swings in the mining graph so I waited a bit, and the 3 hours to mining took 2 days to do, I restarted my Neptune and now its still doing the same thing.

Seems ok here, slow but steady. Had quite a lot of bad luck this round again so payouts are delayed a bit.

I'm seeing a delay/issue with the mining graphs too.

How cute, the lying scumbag is trying to say I'm the one full of shit.  (Also: Wrong thread, though if it's in the Pools subforum I'll see it no matter where you put it).

Is NMC merged mining slow lately? I mean .. my last .3BTC mined at eligius weren't accompanied by any NMC. How does one see the pool NMC payments?

Self-mod note: removed a post that seemed to imply some connection with Eligius and BFL's latest nonsense.  I'd prefer not to have that completely unrelated nonsense spill into here.

I assure you, neither I nor Eligius has any affiliation with BFL, and many of you also know that I have pretty often spoken out against their antics.

As for NMC, namecoin itself is still having issues, so getting payouts out is a bit of a problem still.  I'm going to continue to make the payouts, but less frequently, since a lot of manual tasks need to be done to make it happen and it takes a significant amount of time currently.  I've at least got the pool merge-mining the namecoin blocks again, but with a hack that severely limits the transactions that are included in Eligius namecoin blocks to prevent the network issue from occurring so often and crashing the daemon.  This also blocks payout transactions, currently, so, to make the payouts I have the manually change this each time.

Perhaps someone can fix namecoin eventually?

Hey wizkid, you see the news about shellshock bash vulnerability today?  You may want to take a look at it.  I don't know enough about mining to know if that could be used to exploit a mining server but after that person used an exploit to steal all that NMC from Eligius, you may want to look at what this new exploit means for the webserver (if anything).

The issue that happened a while back with NMC was, admittedly, just my lack of time to update and enforce already in-place security strategies with regard to NMC... fortunately, I won't make that mistake again.

I've already updated/patched all Eligius servers against the new bash exploits, not that I believe there was an attack vector there to begin with.  But since all of the implications probably are not known, better safe than sorry.
