I think I'm just going to put a 24 hour delay on answering any questions related to "I didn't get a payout!" from now on....

Maybe use that time to adjust the stats API to be able to show individual worker stats instead of just by the payout address? Smiley

Just for my understanding:
How come, I move BACK in "Estimated Position in Payout Queue" and NOT forward ??

It jump's back and forth. Why is this so ??

Thanks

It's all part of that word "Estimated".  The actual queue is changing every single second, and it has no way to know when a block will be found, nor how many people will hit their minimum payout and jump into queue, etc.

Payout queue is based on balance age/last actual payout.  If someone has an older balance than you but hasn't met the minimum payout yet, when they do, they show up in the payout queue in front of you.

It does say "Note: This is constantly changing" right on the user stats page under that information.

You are doing a mountainous job.  I have been a ISP owner since 1995. A service that runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week, is a huge job to maintain and support.  Server failure is a massive pain, I have been there done that.

I just want you to know there are allot of people here that know what your going thru and how much work it is,  and want to truly thank you, when some one worries about a .2 pay out they just do not have a clue.

If there is anything I can do to assist just let me know.  I am sure there is not.  But of there is just ask.

Again thanks for all you do for this pool.

While I hear you and agree with you ... 0.2 BTC is a lot to some people.  Myself included.

Depends on how you look at it... Eligius mines on average 10-11 blocks per day, at 25 BTC+ each... 0.2 BTC over 4 days is less than 0.02% of what the pool mines (on average).  If just 1% of the earnings in the same situation needed support over 0.2 BTC.... that'd be 5000 support requests...

And thank you JC for the supportive words.  It is good to know that some people do understand how much effort all of this is sometimes. Smiley

I'm not suggesting it's worth falling over yourself for.. just stating 0.2 BTC is a lot for some people.

Come on I wasn't complaining about not receiving 0.2BTC, I was simply asking a question as I'm fairly new to the pool, the payout system was disabled twice, and I hadn't got a payout in 5 days so wanted to check everything was OK, a simple "it's coming don't worry" and the explanaition on the payout queue that was given subsequently would have been fine. Saying that I have "no clue" is frankly just a bit of a jerky thing to say, unless asking questions in this thread is frowned upon? Roll Eyes

Anyway, wizkid, I do appreciate all the work you do, Eligius is a great pool, thank you for running it.  Cool

I have another question, if I may, can you explain the "Shares Rewarded" column? Mine says 79.55%, does this mean I have 80% shares that are shelved and waiting to be added to my payout balance?

No, you have 20.45% of your so-far-submitted shares that are shelved and eligible to be paid out in a run of good luck.

See my sig for link to an explanation of Eligius CPPSRB system and payouts.

this states right now(Estimated Position in Payout Queue
74.85800571 BTC are ahead in queue, but our payout is more than the remaining block reward of 0.14199429 BTC, putting this user's payout after a 3 block delay).
Note: This is constantly changing. See the payout queue.
and the payout amount is from 0.24187496  Huh

When it comes to pay outs, Wizkid has a great idea how how to make them smoother, and i can tell you it works.

I figured how much i should mine in a 3 day period,  for the lower hash rates you could figure 5 days, or what ever.

I think took that figure of what i should mine during a normal 3 day period then set that figure to be my payout threshold to that figure and it works out well.

I get paid very regularly,  made a huge difference in  amount of time i stayed in the payment queue.

What's going on with this pool??

Seems fine to me.  Normal luck swings.  Pays out.  Responsive.  Low variance because of high hash rate.  Good op.  What's your issue?
