There are could be lota of reasons behind thw failed ICO. not reach the target token sales because of poor marketing strategy. sometimes also there is a conflict between fellow developers. Lack.of resources and maybe poor ideas. some we don't know because it is between them. when conflict arises between developers the ideas and opinions were different and it will end up splitting so how can they attract investors by that.

And there is a very special founder and with him a great team needed. Not even talking about the right moment. for example FB is the 10th social media site or so. Some ICO are created only to make the creators earn money. I hope that in the future market participants will become smarter and we will not see bad ICO again

The main reason for this is that the ico nowadays is not built to last for a long term. Only a shorter period of time, so the demand will be decreased. Also if the ico is bad in marketing, it may be subjected to not met their softcap and force to discontinue the ico project.

in my opinion, a large part of the ICO is currently only for quick fundraising.
so not for the investors but for the founders. there is no interest in long-term projects

There could literally be so many reasons to this,

The project itself could simply not have enough to fund.
The owners took the ICOs and is now working on another coin or on the beach at Bahamas or something

This is the golden age for ICOs, but there are many many fake coins or coins that are designed for you to lose money.

If ICO fails at the very first moment, it's likely that the team did not do good marketing.  but  If ICO fails after the release  it is not always clear which projects will survive and will remain for a long time, and which do not.
I'm talking about normal projects just not paying attention to skam.

I think the reason why some Ico failed because is the lack of a perfect project, the team that made the project too hasty in making the ico project. we must be really smart in choosing ico project. do not make a mistake in choosing a project

I think it is because most ICOs are scam and people became skeptical. Also, there are a lot of ICOs that is why investors are  scattered all through out different ICOs, that is one of the reasons why some ICOs do not reach their soft cap and fail.
