From my own point of view, most of these icos that fail are scam who are just out there to make quick money from innocent investors who knew nothing about their plans from the outset. Besides even those that are not scam but still fail are those without having a project with good future prospects backing up the ico.

Maybe because of the project idea can't fit to the people desires, and some ICO are not highly budgeted and not well planned, so there's less investors will be interested to the project. Promotion is also has a big part of the ICO, the project needs to be well known as a legit one. People tend to invest on the project with news and updates with great engagement.

Most of ICO failed its because they have no unique project or even no good credibility of the Team. I've notice that some of ICO whitepaper are just copy paste from other project. The product they are offered is not special.

I think mainly ico fails because market is red, because of it they cant work under smaller budget and going broke easily after some time.

In my opinion, many investors have joined ICO fraud. And ICO Failures occur due to some unachievable factors, including less promotion from ICO team and also the concept offered by ico can not attract many parties. But I think ICO is used to make money for developers instead of supporting projects that are less good for development.

anyways there are different reason why some ICO project could failed now,and one of the reason of this is lack of investor who participate into there project campaign,second the project is lack of information especially into there white paper,thats why  people have doubt and confuse of the project they were presented and lastly maybe this ICO project developement is lack of advertisement or sponsor,thats why its failed ,because the most useful things to become marketable those product is the advertisement in twitter,bounty,fb,telegram and different way how to introduce your ICO into the crypto community.

There are some reasons why ICO fails. One of them is when the ICO did not reach their soft cap and harp cap, and I think failure to reach their target sales will end up a disaster for the project. How can an ICO pay their investors if they don't have enough funds to pay for their investors, right? Second, lack of promotional marketing strategy and a good product. If the product doesn't have a good marketing strategy it will not attract investors due to lack of potential in the market.
