Because there are too many ICOs. Currently, there are more than 100 ICOs running which is not good at all. How can all 100 ICOs be successful at the same time ? YOu have to be wise when you make your own choice in investing ICOs. If you make a wrong investment on a fail ico, you will lose a lot of money

There are many reasons for ICO failures. Most have already appeared in this thread. I think the number of unsuccessful start-ups is probably similar to ICO. Only less talk about it. Several projects must fail to make one very good. Have a look at the IT industry and its development.

There are a lot of factors why ico failed. First is the project is not a good project, i mean they sell or make something but there is something special with their product, second is persistence is key and most of them dont it with their heart. And the last they promote with the wrong way and there is no long term plan, so investors dont want to invest on the ico.

1. The project may be uninteresting if there are already a lot of such projects.
2. Bad publicity, no excitement.
3. Bad road map, no future.
4. Of course, much depends on the team) I love projects where the team consists of people from India. Very strong people and usually their projects are successful.

I think maybe the ICO is not preparing to compete with another ICO and besides that, the ICO price depends on bitcoin price so whatever bitcoin price goes, it will give an impact to the ICO. maybe the ICO is not failed but they need a time to gets up in the market because the bitcoin is moving in somewhere and bitcoin price does not increase high so it pushes the ICO price to get down too. but soon, after bitcoin price increases higher, the good ICO will start to increase and will reach their goals.

well as for us the joiner we cant actually know what are some of the ICO may have to based on but we can actually see if on how is this may able to failed for are depends on the project and not based on what other coin price.

and if the dev and the team are consistent with their project and still continue the projects, then I think the projects deserve to get the success. the projects will only fail if there are no support from the team and the community and there are only a few investors that invest their money so the projects stop and cannot reach the success.

Because most of the many ICO campaigns fail when teams refuse to provide updates on how their projects are running today, but too many people come to invest in ICO with their money and if they join the various project platforms and no updates, tend to think that the team is not serious and some people even start labeling on projects like SCAM. It's the golden age of ICOs last year and most of the projects from that time are successful because of real support to the project. But this year is different, ICOs are being used to make money for it's developers instead of supporting a legit project for development.

This is true that some or we could say many ICO's are failing .This is mainly because the lack of investments in the ICO and the ICO fails to get the desired value. Another problem can be from the side of the developing team. The ICO fails to deliver what was expected from it and so does the investors does not show any interest in it.

That is because in the first place, they were never meant to be.
They intend to copy other ideas and create fake ICOs.
Sometimes too they have a marketing strategy that is weak which leads to them not reaching their softcap.

But it is mainly because the projects are not potential, the marketing is not good, so they do not attract much investment capital leading to the lack of the soft cap and the hard cap. Yes, I found some ICOs that were failed. they can reach the softcap or their coins  have no price on the market.
The causes:
- less promotion, no new project ideas, simple presentation
- No control of the coins on the market by the developer of the coin ICO

I'm sure developers also can not have control over market prices, too dangerous, if indeed they can manipulate it then I am sure, they will soon scam.

The main cause has been the loss of people's trust over a large number of ICO projects because most ICO projects have been abused by irresponsible capitalism to commit fraud.
According to Vitalik Buterin (as a co-founder of Ethereum and a co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine) The true ICO project is only 10% and the other 90% is fraud.

Not enough known by people. Also I though that it's because the project aren't have any innovation to attract more investor. Even with many Bounty and airdrop participant which immediately sell and dump that token.

In my opinion some of factor that make ICO failed is the team founder not really work and not professional to development the project. And other reason is the idea of the project is not unique and just copy from others project.

Maybe we ever see and participated at ico was failed and we have loss payment from bounty campaign because an ico was stop. We will asking to team ico development why is happen and what about payment from bounty campaign ? many ico was failed before they have loss their target about ico sell to investor was little of token sold, or ico was failed because country regulation by government of this ICO, many country is not allowed for ico investment will be run. But many ico was scam by their owner was run away and he bring out all investor money.

almost ico's now are for short term, once they didnt reached the the first market and all investors are selling their holds. and then slowly froze the updates, the roadmaps are broken. but the team or a management are still in a good profit for selling their own holdings for being hype. while they starting a new project proposal to the public. just a cycle.. thats only my thought.

because it also affects many things yes, of course, such as transactions in ico and others as follows:
- because the team from ico very long to respond to questions from investors
- because gift programs are not advanced to get people interested in investing
- because the transaction does not reach the sofh cap so many investors hesitate to follow the ico!
