thats been the story with all the asic releases on gpu algos
by the time people will get their hands on them
the profit will be 2 to 3 times less than the purchase date

How can you you know which one is broken ? who told you to send one hash card to the company ? I am so curious.

Unplug PCI-E (power) and ribbon cables from 2 hashboards, and test 1 hashboard at a time. You will be able to find the bad one easily.

How much is it per unit?
It is very important because Bitmain and Innosilicon will ship a lot of equihash miner in the end of August ~ September.
And, Innosilicon may start 1 buy 2 free A9 in September.

Thanks for trying this with so much horse power. It's definitely preferable to find the original password than to have to modify the firmware versions. Let us know what you find out.

Can you try all 8 character passwords with inno as the first 4 chars?  Are you using hashcat? I'd throw a rig at it but I'm not sure how to proceed witih the salt part.

How are people's HW error rates?  What is considered normal?  Looking at Innosilicon's Miner Status page, my HW #'s seem to be around 5-10% of my "Accepted" #.  

I am running on Balanced performance profile, and have latest firmware installed.  If this is not normal are there any suggestions to lower my HW errors?  Could it possibly vary based on the pool I am mining on (currently on Flypool)?  Thanks in advance.

Yes, hashcat.  I just tried with inno as the first 4 characters with a maximum length of 8 characters and I didn't get any results.
