Port changed in conf and in bat. Wallet restarted.

With config read only the same. Does config have to be read only? Somewhere that was posted and I'm still trying two versions...

Did you put the riecoin.conf file in the same directory as your wallet.dat?

With the official standalone miner (win64).

Had 48 cores at 3.4 going at launch, added another 64 at 3.2 by about midnight EST, added another 24 at 2.8 this morning. So far, 136 cores & zero blocks. Probably time for me to pack up and walk away until riecoin finds a pool for itself.

Miner won't compile (autogen fails and i've compiled qubit and max cpuminer on that machine), pre-compiled won't run, wallet did compile fine but got btc logo (really?) and did not sync even with official addnodes - not the best start -.-

Oh and Windows Miner is 32 bit, usually halfing the performance...

sy , go to the website of riecon download the cpu miner works oke

Did it work?  I tried that with several of my previous open source releases (optimized nvidia scrypt miner, gpu and cpu optimized miners for protoshares) and was, ahh, extremely underwhelmed by the donations that did not flow in. :-)

I'm very interested in the question of how to fund development of cool advances in cryptocurrencies.  The best model I've seen yet is yvg1900's yam model, but I'm determined to find a way to do it that results in an open source release.  If possible.

  -Dave

Why not release it and post your RIC address so people can donate what they like? (I did this last week for a MaxCoin miner)

From a quick examination of their miner, it's less than a day of work for a good programmer to get a 5-10x speedup.  Someone who's had experience in high performance prime sieves could get more in less time.

(I hacked on my own version briefly and got an 80% speedup with about 30 minutes of work.)

I'd be surprised if there aren't at least several private fast implementations done already, devs or otherwise.  Doesn't mean the devs did it, of course, but I'd bet money that someone did.
Where's the code with those 80% speed increases? Or do you prefer to keep them to yourself? Wink

I'm open to offers.

1.25M numbers/sec on an i7-4770.  Not too bad. :-)

I've got 3.5 BTC to purchase RIC
PM me offers

I am trustee for NXTcommunityfund so I am good for the BTC. This is personal purchase. Seller sends first in increments, or we use escrow, so scammers need not bother.
