Some reasons why I like this coin
- It seems like only about 10-12% of all the coins that have been mined are for sale. People are holding (obviously hoping DOGE level prices in a few months) - About 200-250BTC worth has already been traded, that means about 6 billion has been bought from the original miners - The rewards are about to drop so mining will be harder - Not sure about the impact of the gravity upgrade but guessing that will only help - Good buzz
+1 There seems to be a ton of interest that is currently just building a position.

gravity aka KGW main purpose: Block to block re target difficulty instead of typical 2016 blocks until the next difficulty re adjustment. This helps mostly when a huge nethash drops from mining the coin because it became less profitable to mine. With KGW. the miner that sticked around will only have to overcome 1 block with high difficulty. at the next block the difficulty would adjust itself to the current total nethash

Thanks for providing a deb for the wallet client. Not sure how it is on other Ubuntu variants, but on Kubuntu 13.10, it was a piece of pee =)

Yup, by my estimates looks like KGW will kick in sometime around 8-9 PM EST tomorrow. Did this calculating the next 166 (the remaining blocks before a difficulty change) blocks @ 3 min block time, then the multiminers will come back and we'll be at around a 30 second or so block time for 240 blocks and back at the 3 min or so range for the remaining 180 blocks until KGW takes effect, for a total of 20 hours or so from now. Can't wait, this will definitely help this coin gain some traction.

The three sell orders for Karma right now show no price (0BTC), if you put an order in it does nothing. There also are some DOGE up for sale that I tried to buy at the 200sat listed, or at least that's what I think it was listed at since the prices run over into the next column, but again the order didn't go through, it just sat there. I was forced to remove my BTC a process I'm still waiting. While the support button is technically clickable, it jumps around when I hover my mouse over it. The chat button on the lower right does absolutely nothing. The site is bad and the developers should feel bad.

At the current difficulty, you can expect around 500k coins a day... but it will be dropping soon. Now is as good a time as any to start, come join us. http://karma.hashstrike.com

After doing a little digging through the source code for the page, I discovered the url where the support button is supposed to lead to. It's supposed to link to https://pmtocoins.com/index.php?page=newticket . Don't be so harsh and critical of a brand new exchange. They just opened their doors and still have bugs to work out and things that still need to be implemented. Just give them some time. I'm sure they'll be much better off in the coming weeks and months once they get everything straightened out.

Can someone please explain to me in simple terms how this difficulty thing works? When and how does it increase or decrease? How does it effect coins in circulation? Where can I check the current difficulty level for KARM? Also, wth is KGW and how does it help this coin?

Difficulty is calculated based on the network hash rate and is meant to keep a single block to be solved around 1 minute, it currently gets recalculated every 240 blocks (which should average to around 240 minutes) currently though multiminers are coming in and mining while the difficulty is low thus increasing the network hashrate and solving blocks in much less time than it's supposed to be. They then leave once the difficulty is recalculated after the 240th block leaving us then stuck on a higher difficulty with less network hash rate causing blocks to take much longer to be solved. KGW will resolve this issue with calculating difficulty much sooner if the hash rate drops.

If there are active miners on the wrong fork it should be sent. I might be wrong though.
