You can use any coin for any purpose.

yes I agree but with some coins its much easier to tip, buy candy and give pocket money than BTC for example...
can you imagine the mind bending mathematics that you would have to do in order to tip a few cents in BTC or even LTC?

this is why coins like Doge and Karma have tens of billions of coins in circulation... so that micro payments are made easy enough that even a child could use them.

when it comes to micro payment coins.. you don't need to be all serious.. in fact it probably works against the coin to make it too serious..
for example.. if you say "Hey everyone, I have 5 million Karma coins!" do you really expect anyone to look at you seriously?

coins like DOGE and KARMA are just like monopoly money... lots of bright colors funny logos everywhere...

for what its worth I say lets make this money as easy to hand out as candy... and if its as easy to hand out as candy then it might as well look like candy.
just my thoughts.. but yeah you cant really make a serious coin when hundreds of millions of coins are being generated every day by a handful of people.

We should hold a new coin logo contest!

Here's a rework, let me know what you guys think? I wanted to bring a more modern and clean look to Karma coin, also a little more playful..which I think the community can appreciate. If you guys like it and would like to send a quick tip for a beer or something, it'll be much appreciated.

Karma Wallet:

Cheers =)

I think the concept is nice but the colors are horrible, dat yellow/brown/greenish doesn't look very nice. The horn on the right side is misplaced under the coin. The elephant looks slightly too feminine with the eye lashes. just my 2 cents! Nice work

What's the relation with that elephant in the logo and Karma coin...? It would be better if we get rid of that elephant from the logo... the 'aum' symbol logo is also bad, making the coin religious.... Think of something else..

For synchronizing:
First backup wallet and save it on desktop for instance, to be easily to find .dat file,
then delete folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Karmacoin <-- this is old.
And then start the new Karmacoin .exe, it will make new folder on the indicated address above.
Replace wallet.dat with backup wallet file, change the name of backup to wallet.dat if necessarily.

Then start again karmacoin wallet.

I saved before wallet.dat updated wallet
is now replaced wallet.dat?
where you want the wallet.dat and how to rename?
Can you write more?

you need to go into: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/ where username is your username for your computer and find the karmacoin folder. Then make a backup of your wallet.dat file that is in there. Once you backed up the wallet.dat file delete the whole folder, then relaunch the wallet, this will recreate the folder with a new wallet.dat. Then close the wallet and go back into that folder and put your backed up wallet.dat file back in it. Relaunch the wallet again and the blockchain should redownload and your coins will start coming back as the wallet syncs with the blockchain.

thank you very much, it worked!

Karma itself is a religious belief friend - it is already a religious coin to that extent. A Dharma wheel would be much more appropriate and is already circular so could be an excellent, distinctive logo - one I cannot believe hasn't been done yet. Dharma also works perfectly with the 'Doing Good is Good' slogan (a poor one tbh).

It makes no sense to call a coin "karma coin" and then try and avoid the religious symbolism that goes with that concept. It would be like creating 'Allah coin' and then refusing to have anything relating to Allah on the coin because it 'makes it religious'.

Great job! It looks good and is logically consistent and therefore wont be a point to be mocked and ridiculed by haters when our coin takes off!
