It doesn't seem like enough people find it weird that a guy who runs a sportsbook rating thread on a bitcoin forum:
1. Does not seem to understand that odds move over time (see discussion with directbet)
2. Does not seem to understand that it takes time for bitcoin transactions to propagate (see discussion with directbet)
3. Is paid by some books ("oh but that's ok, it's for my website not this forum")

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Betcoin just made a nice improvement. When changes occur in a line it will blink red or green and refresh automatically every 5 seconds. In the live section there is constant line movement.

Well BetMoose just added easy category sorting on our https://www.betmoose.com/bets page so you can find sports bets outside of the rest of our event betting. We also have strong account creation and bitcoin holding (with email notifications, 2FA, withdrawal-address locking, privacy settings etc), and we have a 20% referral program going on so you can refer your friends and get 20% of their lifetime revenue. No sign up bonus YET sorry; but we're also not a house (it's a P2P platform).

BetMoose.com - Wager on real world events. Profit from predicting the future. Create and share your own contracts.

I've been using Casinobitco.in and Betcoin and can recommend both books. I tend to use Casinobitco.in more for sports since they have better odds, but I have placed quite a few bets at Betcoin and while I've had some minor issues with them their support is very responsive here in the forum and through email.

Both books offer contests but I believe only Betcoin offers a signup bonus, but that signup bonus has to be wagered in their casino (slots) and there is a rollover req. Betcoin also has a lot of promotions for their poker room and you can seamlessly use your chips for either the sportsbook, casino, or poker room. if you have no interest in poker or the casino I would go with Casinobitco.in for the better odds.

Anonibet and Casinobitcoin have good sized staffs.

You ignored my question. I will ask it again :

How do you know how many employees Anonibet and Casinobitcoin have ? Have you met them in person to verify that ?

People here are following your advices and ratings and so you should be responsible and back up your claims.

If Anonibet needs extra man power to process manual withdrawals, manage risk and set up lines (as you claimed in an earlier post), while we have invested in a state of the art proprietary software that does that automatically with 0 employees, do we need to get discredit for that ?

Since Peeps failed to reply, we have to assume that he does not know how many employees Anonibet and Casinobitcoin have.

That didn't stop him from claiming that "Anonibet and Casinobitcoin have good sized staffs.".

This is yet another false and misleading information from Peeps in an attempt to lure his followers to bet on the Bitcoin Sportsbooks that pay him to advertise and promote them in forums.

I feel that I have a good idea of the size of the staffs of the top 3 books. That information was given privately. I can't guarantee that the information that I have is correct but all three of the top books have been completely honest with me in all other areas so there is a trust that has not been broken to date.

You have been untruthful many times. In your post above you claim that Casinobitcoin pays me. Casinobitcoin does not pay me individually or peepsplace.com. They don't pay flat fees and they aren't affiliates. Ratings aren't bought.

Advertising dollars are spent to convert cash players to bitcoin players. We are also open to interviews. Our articles are published and hit the top of google news. I send the links to the advertisers so that they know where their advertising dollars are going.

Caution is Advised As New Ratings for Bitcoin Sportsbooks are Released
June 29, 2014Angela Burrows
Comments off
As the World Cup knock-out round continues, gamblers are advised to be careful when it comes to choosing sportsbooks that use bitcoins. The anonymity that makes bitcoin so attractive to sports bettors also carries a risk; sportsbooks can easily vanish overnight and take its deposits with them. Peeps Place, the gold standard when it comes to rating bitcoin sportsbooks, says this is a dangerous point of time for sports bettors.

“The World Cup is the most popular time for hit and run books. After that it’s the Super Bowl. I’m not saying that the new kids on the block are necessarily bad books,” says the poster Peeps Place at Bitcointalk.org. “The odds say that some will be out of business shortly after the World Cup walking off with funds. This is not the time to test out new books.”

Anonibet, the oldest and most reputable of bitcoin books, keeps improving its game and maintains its A rating. Anonibet is now adding more betting options for Americans, including competitive lines for baseball and the WNBA. They recently became a Gold Member of the Bitcoin Foundation, a further sign that Anonibet is focusing on the long-term when it comes to the sportsbook business. Anonibet is celebrating the World Cup by offering a 22 bitcoin contest for its customers.

NitrogenSports remains the sole B rated book. Like Anonibet, Nitrogen is running a huge bitcoin contest for the World Cup, giving away 20 bitcoins over the duration of the tournament.

Casinobitco.in remains at C+ but may soon be joining Nitrogen Sports in the B category. A solid book since opening business in June 2013, the Panama-based Casinobitco.com offers competitive prices with a focus on American sports.

Complete ratings from Peeps Place:

Regarding CasinoBitco.in, I applaud the transparency, but I have to say that I would never deposit at a book that has attracted a total player balance of ~$30k after being open for 14 months, and has yet to show the ability to make a profit as a sportsbook (ignoring casino PnL):

I want to bring this to the forum before making an upgrade. Betcoinsports now qualifies for a "B" rating since they opened in April of 2013. Betcoinsports was once rated "C+" but they were downgraded to "C" because of two hiccups. In both disputes the player and Betcoinsports posted their case in this thread. Posters agreed with the player in both instances and Betcoinsports paid the players.

Betcoinsports has now revamped their software. I personally feel that Betcoinsports should be upgraded to "B-". Is there anyone that feels the upgrade is unjustified?

... And how much BTC have we raised the past year with our offerings on Havelock and outside through VC?

The fact remains we've been operating for a full year, never missed any player payout or even been a hint of a scam like other sites that pop up and exit in months.. Knowing this very vocal community I can promise you if we didn't pay a user even fractions of a BTC, it would be plastered in many threads (including our own).... May I suggest you do further research and come back with a better informed opinion?

Hi Peeps,

You rated CasinoBitcoin at B- and DirectBet at C.

Do you truly believe that betting on CasinoBitcoin, a Sportsbook that lost 70 BTC in bets since its inception, plus much more on operational expenses, which holds 50 BTC in user deposits and might have used it to cover for its losses, is safer than betting at DirectBet, a Sportsbook that does NOT take deposits and does NOT keep hold of your Bitcoins after the bet is over ?

We don't have anything against CasinoBitcoin, they seem to be nice guys and we appreciate their transparency.

We do however claim that this rating guide is a disguised advertisement for the books that Peeps Place want to promote, and we have proved that 3 of the top 4 rated books in this guide are paying him to promote them in forums.

We also claim that this thread is used as a platform to discredit and spread false and ill informed information on books that did not want to pay Peeps, such as DirectBet.

Wow dude. "Much BS" if I wanted to quote my DogeCoin pals.

To say what you've said below is complete blasphemy and quite frankly irresponsible. With the amount of BTC we've raised publicly through Havelock, and independently, you can pretty much through your claim out the window. You can do the research - and you can view the public opinion of us and our players. The moment we have one issue with a payout is the day you can make these claims, until them - I'd suggest running your own site to the standards the community desires.

DirectBet- My personal opinion is that you should be rated much lower. I'd recommend that no one play for large amounts since their bet can hang in limbo for an hour. If the forum agrees with my personal opinion, then you would be downgraded instead of upgraded.

I'm not pushing for a downgrade since forum opinion is the driving force for the the ratings. At the same token, I don't see anyone calling for an upgrade and you are fairly low on all ratings sites.

You are not keeping up with the improvements of other books. While they are open to suggestions and are making improvements, you just put out fires with no improvements.

DirectBet- Your sole tactic is to denigrate competing sites along with rating guides where you are listed fairly low.

On another note, why do you keep posting emails or portions of emails of posters that disagree with you? ts11111 has a complaint and today you posted a portion of an email that he sent to you.

Posting private correspondence is something that you absolutely don't do as it is a breach of confidentiality. It's almost never done by the cash or bitcoin books. On the cash forums, books get slaughtered by posters for this breach.

I'm not pushing for a downgrade since forum opinion is the driving force for the the ratings.

That's another lie from Peeps Place, but unlike him, we are not just saying "you lie"... we prove it !

Today we are going to present you with another new evidence why Peeps Place is a scam.

But first we would like to make it clear that we NEVER reveal information on our clients in public, unless they go public first and spread FALSE information on DirectBet, as Peeps Place is doing.

A couple of months ago we revealed and proved for the first time that Peeps is getting paid by his top rated Sportbooks to promote them in forums.

Immediately afterwards, Peeps got upset and downgraded us from C to D in his forum (see capture below).

This is another evidence that his ratings guide is not "By the players, for the players", as Peeps is claiming, but rather "By Peeps, for the guys that pay him".

Also notice that Peeps Place, "the gold standard when it comes to rating bitcoin sportsbooks", is advising his followers in regards to DirectBet that "I wouldn't play at this shop".

What he forgot to tell them is that during the following month, he was betting frequently at DirectBet, to the point where he earned a VIP reward, a bonus that is reserved to our most loyal clients !

Peeps is lying to his own crowd !!!

Do you think that Peeps Place has the creditability to rate Bitcoin Sportbooks, given that those he rates the highest are paying him to advertise and promote them ?

Please come and vote in our thread here
