I'm not showing a hash rate on my Clevermining web page, but my miner is reporting "Accepted"s and continues to mine.  Apparently if you remain connected, this DDOS attack doesn't affect you.

Unless you are not getting credited for your hashpower, which is at least a possibility.  And do you think that all the other miners except you were already disconnected from the pool for some strange reason, only to notice a ddos attack after they tried to reconnect?  Are you certain that your miners are reporting being connected to clevermining.com or are they working somewhere else?  And why would one miner's user page be working (see above) but not yours?

Terk, why are some miners not being reported on the All Active Users page??  Such as this one:

http://www.clevermining.com/users/1BT9cPLGRep7nXnvo9JoXn6H7sSd5Em2WE

They were asking for privacy so their username was hidden from user lists. This is the only modification that was made for them.

Why is the 20GH/s whale the only one who is able to mine during this ddos attack?

Everyone else's hashrate reports 0, but his hashrate is seemingly unaffected:
http://www.clevermining.com/users/1BT9cPLGRep7nXnvo9JoXn6H7sSd5Em2WE

The pool's current hashrate matches his hashrate exactly.  You previously said that the only modification made for him was removing his username from the user lists.  Does he also have access to his own clevermining server?  Does he pay a lower fee than all of us too?  Are the rest of the miners here subsidizing him in any way?

I pay the server fee(about $1600) and invited Terk to set up a China server to get a lower rej%
1% rej of 20G is much more then server fee.

If you need to set up a server and you can pay the server fee,
I think Terk would be pleased to help you Smiley

Sorry, Terk, but I smell something fishy.
On that guy's last 10 minute stats, the reject rate is compared to a server named "Private B".
He definitely has a private clevermining server.

Read what the owner of the 20GH/s just said mate. Smiley

Still fishy. We did not know there was such private server, and he doesn't even appear in the active users page.

That may be and we won't know until the website recovers, but--If I am getting new blocks from the servers and sending accepted to the server, then until I find out otherwise, I will assume that my miners remain mining productively.

Yes, I am certain I am still mining at Clevermining--unless someone has managed to reroute my connection without resetting it.

Why so hostile?  I'm merely reporting what I'm seeing.

Perhaps I could rival Terk's technical ability, but...I know I could not handle the jealous screamings of "Give me my penny!"

That may be and we won't know until the website recovers, but--If I am getting new blocks from the servers and sending accepted to the server, then until I find out otherwise, I will assume that my miners remain mining productively.

Yes, I am certain I am still mining at Clevermining--unless someone has managed to reroute my connection without resetting it.

Why so hostile?  I'm merely reporting what I'm seeing.

I ask only because last weekend there was a series of hashpower thefts at multiple pools, including clevermining, in which miners were redirected to rogue servers and essentially working for some unknown entity.  And as far as we all know, neither the source nor initial method of that attack was ever found, but simply ended at some point.  If there is any possibility that it is on again, then we should all be made aware of it.  And what you described could very well be such a case.  I don't know why you were reading any hostility in my post.

There is something strange, many payments made in one day (some every hour)

I believe at some point, Terk tried to pay out balances over 0.01 BTC hourly so as to avoid holding onto funds any longer than necessary, and thus proactively mitigate the effect of any potential pool wallet theft, but there was a revolt by some users saying that having too many payments sent each day was far too inconvenient to them.  So should there ever be a theft of funds (e.g. mtgox, vircurex, ejpool, and many more), then those same users will be bitching about having their money stolen, and blaming Turk for it instead of themselves.

Getting funds out of the pool wallet and into the wallets of miners as quickly as possible was a good idea misunderstood by many.  Should there ever be any theft of pool funds by hackers, then the pool would likely have to shut down as the amounts involved would now be considerably larger.

At the time of this post only 12 hours or so after the last payout and while in the midst of a ddos attack keeping most miners inactive, there is currently more than 88 BTC held in the pool's wallet and another 62 BTC in the process of maturing or waiting to be exchanged.  I would imagine that there are several vitamin-d deficient pallid skinned hacker types trying to find a way to an easy $44,000 - $75,000 USD as this very moment, and the more funds there, the greater the lure.

How long has it been since the last time you heard some large corporation with massive security resources lost all of your personal information to hackers?  Terk is a one man shop or damn near close to it, and possibly vulnerable in some way yet to be discovered.

The Gridseed ASICs that can mine scrypt have been on the market for a few months already

The ASICs I was talking about are those which really CAN obliterate scrypt mining. Gridseed is in no way to do that. Just compare price to speed.
what is promised is minimum 250MHs for 15000 EUR
Counting a little we get almost a tale in performance to money - after <2 months for returning the full price start to make 20-24K USD a month.

I am not interested in Gridseeds, so I can't tell the price for a fully working unit. The web page you offered sells all the parts in separate. But price for a unit 4200$ for 8 MHs maximum is in no comparance. May be I am mistaking here and those units work much faster? But from what I see the bonus here is only size and power consumption which is rather low in comparison with GPU rigs of the same mining compability.

The numbers I found for gridseeds indicated approximately $2000 USD outlay for 3-3.4 MH/s scrypt at under 100 watts, or approximately 30w per MH/s, where GPU's require a minimum of 250w per MH/s.  For 15000 EURO (or just over 20000 USD) that would buy 30-34MH/s of gridseeds available today.  There is a possibility that other hardware may never actually be delivered though (but even if not, something else will likely arrive on the scene).

I'm not sure why anyone is interested in any of it while btc and ltc prices continue to fall...

I confirm: the only modification made for him was removing his user from user lists.

As for private server: everyone else is also welcomed to pay for his own private server which will be located close to you (low latency) and private (invulnerable to DDOS).

Read your own post again... Your post is referring to all Scrypt ASICs as it was written.
If you meant otherwise, then be more specific.

The Gridseeds are only the first generation and their main strength is in power savings.  Others like KNC with their upgraded spec of 250MHs for the same price they were going to charge for 100MHs is definitely where the heat is going to come from in a few months.

I'm not sure how you can do this. The servers are nullrounted by the datacenter and don't have connections to the outside world. You are either hashing at some backup pool or you are being sent some old work again and again - but I don't know how the latter could be possible - because certainly these servers are not mining anything. All blocks found and reported by our hot wallets are coming from the private pool server which is the only one still running.

If you think you are connected to CleverMining it's best to restart your miners.

I am working on launching a replacement server in another datacenter. It is already finishing syncing its wallets and I will bring up as soon as possible.
