Devs aren't going to use their "coin hoard" to support multipool as it doesn't fit with the mintcoin eco friendly marketing. If the community wants to support that's another thing. I think it would get support if there was assurance that the multipool or pools would continue running for at least 2 weeks before any bounty is paid or the whole bounty. I think it's silly that someone started a pool in one day then needs two weeks to get it going again
Thats why we need this:

The dev will offer 3 million mint for a new pool and the guy will laugh and develop for someone else lol.. true story already happened.

You are a blackcoin supporter and have no contact with Mintocoin dev.

If you're still here I agree it does sound like they should cover this multipool

As you can see moderndezigns ended up agreeing with me.

I'm really happy that you got the ball rolling on this, but the dev should be chipping in on this. They stated they couldn't get involved on the last one, then linked to it on all of their outlets. You can't have you cake and eat it too.

Don't be afraid to make demands of the developers. They publicly stated that the pre-mine would be used for development of the coin. This helps the development of the coin.

People that agree with me should let their voices be heard.

Thanks to mrqu1cky it looks like we're getting close to an android wallet- a MAJOR development!

Thanks to dille71 we have an offer from a legitimate multipool operator to develop a multipool that pays out in Mint: The pool is  HashCow
https://hashco.ws/

I believe the developer should pay any requested bounty, but if you wish to contribute you can do so here: http://www.reddit.com/r/MintCoin/comments/20vtiy/bounty_for_a_new_multipool/

Edit: Anyone who visits the reddit page please make sure to at least upvote it. Bitcoin has a gazzilion multipools paying into it daily, why shouldn't we have at least one? If you don't have a reddit account you can set one up in seconds, you don't even need to put in an email address.

no it does not. let me explain.

i am not sure if the dev team can do other things beside copy clone ( another fact: mint is just a copy clone ).

can they innovate. do they understand the actual pos design. are they able to extend bitcoinj to pos.

if so, building a mobile wallet should not be a problem.

if so, future might be secured... i might buy more. if not. i dump all.

i only care about profit. this is just another coin i ride.

If you dump all of your Mintcoins, it means you lose out. Since you are spreading FUD, you should be spreading FUD in order to lower the price to buy. Don't mess it up. You have to buy low, then sell high if you talk about profit. Don't sell while you are spreading FUD, that's just silly. If you can't lower the price anymore with your FUD (there is a big buy wall at 10 satoshis), you should just buy in now. I promise you, it's the smart move. The coin is extremely valuable and it will rise really soon and then you can make profit. Go with me on this one. The developer is excellent and the community is strong and growing -you cannot clone these. This will give you tons of profits.

How is mint just a copy clone? Mint is the first coin to implement PoW/PoS hybrid that goes to 1 coin PoW after the initial PoW phase. Mint is also the first PoW/PoS coin to have a coin cap. The combination of these makes MINT superior in energy efficiency and ability to retain value without being inflated away due to the coin cap. This is a combination of many of the best features of many prior coins, (speed, coin cap, energy efficient, fair distribution) and the combination of such features is what make it new innovation.

how is mint just a copy clone? take velocity coin, use a compare program... you will see that the code, except for the pow engine is equal. changing some parameters is not innovative. also the coin cap, max_money? that is not the coin cap. you have been smoking too much pot.

- speed? copied
- coin cap? does not have one.
- energy efficient? ok
- fair distribution? no. it was hit by multipools.

int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, unsigned int nBits, unsigned int nTime, int nHeight)
{
    int64 nRewardCoinYear;

   nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;

   if(nHeight < YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT)
      nRewardCoinYear = 4 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;
   else if(nHeight < (2 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT))
      nRewardCoinYear = 3 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;
   else if(nHeight < (3 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT))
      nRewardCoinYear = 2 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;

    int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * nRewardCoinYear / 365;

   if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRI64d" nBits=%d\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge, nBits);
    return nSubsidy;
}

how does it have a max cap?

static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 70000000000 * COIN;         // 70 bil

please explain.

ps. the android wallet is nice. if succeeds. there is a reason why there arent any pos mobile wallets yet.

any coin that makes me a profit.

How does being hit by multipools make coin distribution unfair? Wouldn't it make it more widely distributed and less concentrated to the early adopters/miners?
My understanding is that the coins mined by multipools would have been sold on exchanges for a pretty good price, to those willing to pay?
And I was under the impression that all/any profitable coins are hit by multipools?

Pools
Mining is over, but you can use a multipool special MINT:
http://mintpool.us/mint/index.php
No we can't, that pool is down.
But we can have a new, much better multipool at https://www.hashco.ws if we want.
All it takes is a bounty so please devs, support this!

It wasn't even hit by multipools, he is thinking of BlackCoin.

Seeing a popup with an incoming transaction, and then seeing your first minting, makes you feel it's gonna be a beautiful day Smiley
