Mintcoin came out first and Blackcoin tried to ride the success of Mintcoin. I didn't like Blackcoin because of the name, it didn't have as much trust and marketability. It seems associated to the Black Market, which didn't feel right from a marketing perspective. Also, Blackcoin pays 1% per annum which is really boring. Even a centralized bank can do better than that. Mintcoin pays at 20% per year, or over 1% every 20 days, which is much more fun and much more exciting! Therefore, it wasn't worth the risk in holding that coin, but to go for Mintcoin instead. If you like it, good for you, but I love Mintcoin and won't be moving any of my money into Blackcoin. Also, from my gut, I get the feel that the community at Mintcoin is stronger, but maybe that's just me.

Well, I like and invested equally on both of them. There are pros and cons on both, but in general I think that POS coins have bright future.

However, only time will tell since POS are for long and not for day trading atm.

Edit: That said, both BC and MINT rest on my wallets and I do not even consider to disturb them any time soon ...
Maybe during 2016 ...

My heart belongs to RieCoin (RIC), my investments to BlackCoin (BC)

Exactly, tons and tons of people are now holding. They know what's happening. Prices are going to surge as this takes hold and further, the proof of stake will give them a nice reward on top of rewards. It's fantastic. I still hold Bitcoin, but this is so much more fun.

This will only help distribution and strengthen the community even further. Mintcoin is terrific. The proof of stake is amazing.

I could use more Mintcoin. Mintcoin is that good. Dumpers are doing us a favor expanding our stash in making our community larger and larger.

Mintcoin will push past 100 satoshis very quickly. There is a huge pump incoming. I can feel it.

It won't stay at 100 satoshis for long and it will push right up past it to a much higher level. The buy pressure keeps building.

I'm wondering if the entity attacking MINT isn't this "operation shitcoin" I've been hearing about.

Currently holding nearly 100 million MintCoins. The proof of stake is really interesting, although I don't fully get it yet.

I got 3 bulk minting deposits (interest) on the 16th, 2 on the 17th and none yesterday. If I look back in my history, these correspond to deposits on the 24th and 25th last month. Does that mean it's every 20 days that the interest payments get sent out?

Yes. If your coins show as "generated but not accepted" just leave the wallet open until you get a confirm. Sometimes the minting process will take longer. This doesn't mean you have to wait another 20 days, just that you need to leave your wallet open for a while longer. Just don't move your coins!

I believe the coin age resets after minting. Also you can let coinage mature up to 40 days. So be sure to mint before 40 days passes.
