I am getting desperate for new wallet , devs please give us something. Please people support devs with 10% of your minted coins every minting cycle & we will not have a funding problem. sambiohazard, Devs are working hard on merging 2 years worth of commits to improve the wallet greatly, additionally we are working on a way to avoid single point of failure of the donation wallets. Merging 2 years worth of commits takes A LOT of time to weed out the bugs in the commits so that they compile and index correctly. I will give you this fun fact, that we have a few surprises coming up soon as well. Looking forward to all those awesome surprises! Also i would suggest multisig to avoid single point of failure but i guess devs already know that. People really need to put in some donations & they don't need to be big but regular. FFS this is a charity coin. I'm looking forward, too!!! ... Thank you guys so much!!! ... Also, I would suggest MINTcoin should be a little reward to nodes(24H On-Line), else the number of nodes(24H On-Line) is "too little"!!! E.g: 5% Annual Percentage Rate + "< or = 3% Annual Percentage Rate" ( BUT, "< or = 3% Annual Percentage Rate" must be On-Line over 24H to the settlement once!!! ) Welcome everyone together to talk, I sincerely hope that we can make MINTcoin to more beautiful!!! ... ( This message is "Google translation + my little modifications", I'm so sorry!!! ... )

If you pay close attention to historical charts, you can see and possibly remember, MINT when up 10x around this time last year. So maybe it is an annual cycle sort of thing. Looks like it is on a longer-term growth trajectory overall. Also keep in mind the minting reduction that is probably going to have an effect on price as people can't get new coins as easily as before. And there the minting rate is halving again at the end of the year. This quite possibly could be the end of cheap mints. There is only so much MINT in existence and you can't just print it out of this air like fiat money, so it is bound to rise with time. Time is definitely on MINT's side. MINT is almost 2 years old, and pretty established so why not. It's obviously here to stay, and IMO think it is a possible contender to rise in market cap higher than DOGE or even LTC someday. Just keep minting and watch the value of your mintings grow! It is sort of like growing a tree farm, it takes time for the tree to grow, but eventually you have a forest full of valuable wood. keeping minting is like consistently watering your trees. Stay fresh!

Hello everyone, I've been away from mintcoin for a lot of time and sorry to tell you it will continue - time constraints and more. I own mintcoin-central.com and won't renew it - it will expire soon. So I will hand it for free to anyone interested in it, as well as the whole content. I'd prefer people to be recognized by the community. Contact me here or by MP.

Unless someone from the current core team wants to take this over, It may be best to pull the site down ASAP (before expiration) as pretty much all info on it is very outdated.

I'm working on a history section for mintymintcoin.com. This section would include full versions of legacy mintcoin sites. Example... Ver. 1: mintcoin-central.com (link to backup site) Ver. 2: mintcoinofficial.com (link to backup site) Ver. 3: mintymintcoin.com Additionally this history section would include dates of wallet releases and other significant information and milestones. I'll post an early draft closer to our bday and perhaps community members can help fill in the gaps. Also sending this as a direct message to David. Hey, does anyone know what the algo is for MintCoin? Could not find it on OP. Also, I take it MintCoinOfficial.com website is down and suspended. Anyone know what's up with that?

One of our volunteer community members has communicated that they have some personal issues currently and this is the cause for the site going down. We're working to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen once again in the future. Until then, you can get current info from mintymintcoin.com and on Twitter @MintyAllDay

Was Scrypt for the brief PoW phase way back in the beginning.

The 'algo' isn't relevant because Mintcoin is no longer Proof of Work and can't be mined, rather it is staked. However in the history of the coin, Mintcoin had a mining period before it switched to 20%, then the 15% stage came a little early and the coin forked to handle some technical issues. The 10% phase switched without any problems, so the clients can be updated but the core code shouldn't have to be forked again. RE: mintcoin-central.com, I put in a request for David Latapie to transfer ownership to me, seeing as I have funded the last two domain extensions on the site. I put in a redirect to mintymintcoin.com but this isn't showing for me yet.

Transfer done to a responsible owner. BTW, I also have mintcoinfund.org, expiring in 47 days. I'm also the legal representative for the endowment fund of the same (there is a post several months ago where I showed the legal French paper). Same thing: if you want to make something out of it, just tell me. Either just the domain name or domain name plus content (but I do not own content anymore, cryptomommy does).
