I'm sure the development team isn't against our efforts either, seeing as how they linked to the last multi pool on every one of their outlets.
The multi pool that the community paid for! I've stated before and I'll state it again- You can't have your cake and eat it too. Dev team needs to get a good multi pool up and running for the sake of the coin holders.

Not sure if that's a real question, or smartass reply. I'll answer anyway. The developer has taken it offline to improve the software. I'd rather not rely on one multi pool, especially when there is a proven operational pool at https://hashco.ws/ willing to set up a pool that pays out in Mintcoin.

Truthfully I didn't much attention because it didn't really seem to do anything when it was running.

I have 2 unconfirmed minting.not recieve after 2 days, what i do ? These types of questions are going to become more frequent - could the dev team add a help file and/or FAQ to the wallet to explain the "mining" of mint coin in easy to understand language (with pictures if possible), thanks? Maybe a link to the FAQ on website? Could FAQ be expanded to include more detail? eg 1) Does one have to "setgenerate true" in the wallet to mine? 2) Could pictures be added of common problems with answers to aid explanations? 3) Add mining examples with approx. hours that a wallet must be open/unlocked per 20 days to ensure mining? Thanks for your efforts - great coin

The pool actually drew a ton of attention. The price initially rose 5 satoshi at launch. Unfortunately people had to use a specialty miner on it, and even when they did that it didn't work as well as it should have. That led to a lot of people pointing their rigs elsewhere, which I'd imagine is why it was taken offline for improvement.
Mintcoin has a huge community(at the moment), given a proper pool they would most definitely use one.
With enough hash power we could place huge buys on the market daily, and this would cause a domino effect shooting the price upward.
This would increase the number of miners and the domino effect would continue.
New buyers are more likely to hold Mint because of the large interest payout.

I actually answered that guys question. Long story short- Orphaned blocks will continue to be re-staked until paid. I agree they should make some sort of guide explaining everything. But they should do a multi pool first

Havent been updated in a while Deadman can you please tell me what updates we need?
Like wallet, etc?
I'm not on the team. Here's a link to the wishlist: http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php/topic,263.0.htmlThanks to mrqu1cky it looks like we're getting close to an android wallet- a MAJOR development! Thanks to dille71 we have an offer from a legitimate multipool operator to develop a multipool that pays out in Mint: The pool is HashCow https://hashco.ws/I believe the developer should pay any requested bounty, but if you wish to contribute you can do so here: http://www.reddit.com/r/MintCoin/comments/20vtiy/bounty_for_a_new_multipool/Edit: Anyone who visits the reddit page please make sure to at least upvote it. Bitcoin has a gazzilion multipools paying into it daily, why shouldn't we have at least one? If you don't have a reddit account you can set one up in seconds, you don't even need to put in an email address.

I agree the multipool that pays out in mintcoins would be a good thing ... people with hash power could get back in the mintcoin game so to speak.

I agree the multipool is important for now. You can go through pages like the cryptocurrency collectors club facebook page and see that people love mintcoin and were excited about the multipool but when it went down they lost interest. It needs to be up and running consistently and reliably for now.

I think the fact that they took down the multipool and are working on it, to make it fully operational and more efficient is a very good sign. It means MINT is being taken seriously, and so they are taking the time to set up a very good mint multipool and do it right, the way it should be done. Stop being concerned about short-term price points. What we need to focus on is adding real value and usefulness to mintcoin...imo, that means the focus should be on on going mobile as that is the future. We need to get mobile for Android up as that will definitely boost our value...then you can take Mintcoin anywhere.

If you read my post above, you'll see that community member mrqu1ckly is close to finishing the mobile wallet. You can see his screenshots by clicking the link. I'm very happy about this, but it won't have an immediate impact on price. Many competitors already have this feature. I think it's good that the pool operator is working on the multi pool as well. Still 2 weeks is a long time in the cryptoworld. While a multi-pool will work wonders for the short term pricing, it will have a far greater impact on long term pricing. I've already explained this concisely in a previous post. The more multi-pools we have the better. Look at bitcoin. The multi pool has immense support on every multi-pool thread mentioned on Reddit, if you read the comments.

I believe I read someone is working on the mobile wallet which I agree is important. More than several things can be worked on at the same time. I don't really have faith in the person that started the original multipool which was up in less than a day. Two weeks seems like a long time and with already being paid they don't have as much incentive. Also with all things considered and the way other coin holders have been trying to manipulate our coin I wouldn't be surprised if a price was paid to put our pool on hold for a couple weeks. Just a theory but not completely irrational since we are talking money here.

Multipool MUST be CGminer compatible to be successful IMO. That's what people like to use, like myself. Someone out there can make it happen, if you run CGminer scrypt, you will get big time hashes, which of coarse would include a fee for pool operator. There is a big incentive to make it work.
