I wouldn't concentrate on advertising right now...There is a more of work still to be done to clean up this coin... to make this coin more professional and presentable.

The main thing is cleaning up the presentation and online information for this coin.
- Agreed.

Reddit still says there is a premine on the sidebar.
- I should have this modified over the weekend.

Github Mintcoin code comments still says there is a premine.
Premine references need to go.
- I noted this within the Developers Circle - We are working on cleaning up all assets.

Get rid of the little animation on the main website that has an outdated mintcoin logo.
- I have an open task for this - the current site needs allot of work.
- We will be continually working to clean up the entire site page by page.

The second thing, is to release the Android wallet, so we can actually share/use Mintcoin with people anywhere, on the go.
We are still on target with a soft launch of August 18th.

Then get the NGO released too.
This is currently in the hands of the French Government. The only thing we can do at this time is wait Smiley

The Android wallet, and NGO have been promised for a long time, yet nothing has been delivered. This is the reason why the coin is so low...no progress/development on the infrastructure surrounding the coin. Deliver on these things, and things will turn around. I'm looking forward to it, just some people probably lose patience.

Hang tight - we have a pretty awesome team coming together and delivering great things. I'm excited.
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

This looks awesome! I can't wait to see the full version. Let me know when  you publish it so I can pass it around?

Mintcoin MINT has its own four page section in my book called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Reference Book.  Here is the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483187.0

I will document all major historical events for MINT as well as the current coin specifications.  I have been working on the book for a few months.  If you would like to help fund this future publication, here is my MINT wallet address:

MZKhgDfWYxfWpkpC9Jn6ZtpBQduBSKvfet

Here is the incomplete preview section for MINT (the section is more up-to-date on my computer):

I am confident that the whole book will be released before Christmas 2014.  My ojective is to complette all coin sections (Bitcoin plus 49 altcoins) by the end of September and then complete every other page in October.  Afterwards, I can focus on the possible avenues by which I can get it published.

Hello all Mintcoiners,

I have uploaded a full copy of the Mintcoin Blockchain to Megaupload. This is to help all Mintcoiners who are new and want to fully sync their wallets from scratch quickly.

The link for the Blockchain as of August 11th is available here https://mega.co.nz/#!8x8zwZgS!TSg2kis3nLWx12_SsDFnbjQA-zDoOfhdkC09i3ks12g

The Zip file compresses the Blockchain by 31% and provides a direct link for download. The size of the file is 750 MB and takes about 1 hour to download vs approximately 36-48 hours to Sync from scratch.

I posted an in depth guide on sharing the Blockchain in this way a couple pages back as well.

Happy Mintcoining

Crestington

Fabulous! Thanks!

Cryptomommy asked me if I could do this for you guys and so I took the time out to do this for you guys so please make sure that this isn't going to get buried in the thread pages.

I don't own any Mintcoin and don't have a lot of time to devote to helping other Altcoins so I would like it if a someone from the community could take the time to test, adapt and polish the guide for Mintcoin which I posted a few pages back https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.16600

In return for my services I would like it if you guys please could link me to the process you are using for uploading and hosting the Blockchain via Torrents.

Thank you Crestington - This is extremely valuable for our community and we truly appreciate it.
The front page has been edited and I am currently reaching out to our team for a process on keeping it updated.

I have this queued for inclusion in our new developers learning center. Do you have a mintcoin address and short bio I could include to ensure you get full credit for this?

Excellent! Do we have a torrent of this yet we can all seed? That way people can download it in like 5 minutes instead of an hour. I have lots of bandwidth to help out seeding.

I don't have loads of bandwidth, but I'd be more than happy to help seed.   Wink

Guys your website design is horrible (im not saying content is bad-it is badly presented and absolutely confusing). Awful template and logo looks like made by 3rd grade kid.

Look at https://www.vericoin.info/ this is what i expect to see nice and fast design and professionally looking logo.

You should recruit a professional designer for this job, change the childish logo.

Will you donate the money to hire a professional designer?
The project is powered by voluntary powers.

E.g. we need to rise 0.05 BTC in operation cost for the web page every month, look how much that is donated this month:
https://blockchain.info/address/136Xh9eLa6yYzcApqG2NCevv9PT6Xsy392

Wow!
0.021 BTC

That is $11.70

Not gonna get much "professional designer" for $11.70

They just redid the website like literally "today". Did you see what they had before? This is now better than what they had before, imo, so progress is happening. But there is always room for improvement.

Indeed. Yesterday I converted the back-end template to a mobile friendly design and tried to clean up the content / apply the new template across the site. I still have a ton of work to do with the footer, want to specify the addthis.com code for our social networks as the defaults, and go through the entire sites content with a comb.

I did try to pull through all of the homepage content and feature the most important points of the coin above the fold. I also tried to break down the verbiage for non-techies to understand key points about the coin.

I was hoping on some feedback on the three notes at the bottom of the page. (also contacting one of our designers to see if they can create a nice icon to go with the boxes).

We are working towards continual improvement across the entire Mintcoin network. Many of us are working on several projects at a time.

If anyone has any imagery / content they would like to contribute - don't be shy!
Throw them up on google hard drive and send them over - we would love the help!

Ok, but there are volunteers as well and she said already she hired a designer but haven't seen anything yet which would suggest so.

No investor is going to put any money in this coin if he lands on that messy website and a template looking like I just entered late 90s.

And the logo the font is a first class joke.

Dude,
if you want to design what you would consider a better looking page, then feel free No one is stopping you.
But for most of us , the page is fine and does the job.
Their are other issues that are much more important to be dealt with at this time.
By the way wise investors will be looking at the coin and it's design and performance , which outshines almost all of the rest.

Hi Raiuk,
First and foremost thank you for taking an interest in Mintcoin and our growth.

I completely understand your frustration regarding not having a shiny new website with a fresh logo instantly after this transaction; however after careful consideration our team opted to first work on our messaging, meaning, and overall value to the community before initiating these changes as this takes significant time and manpower to complete and we have allot of projects currently on our plate. At this given point there are currently around 30 open tasks to complete taken from notes within all of the social streams that we are strategizing as a team to ensure we take care of our community as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Once we finalize cleaning up 6 months worth of maintenance requirements as a team I am sure we will come together and create a killer site that features our community strengths.

Until then....
Keep on minting my friend....
