This looks very exciting. We should be able to get a lot of fresh money flowing into BTC and getting a lot of awareness. I love the name Mintcoin, very minty, very fresh, very tasty and consumable.

Expedia uses Bitcoin now. I was wondering if they would be willing to accept Mintcoin.

http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/06/11/expedia-starts-accepting-bitcoin-for-hotel-bookings/

Lol now I know you're just a full fledged troll... You seriously think Expedia who just now accepted bitcoin will accept mint down with a grand total of about 500 users? You're comparing mintdown to bit coin usership?

Looks like 3 sats wasn't low enough it may go down to 1 sat.

I also chuckled at the reference to Expedia adopting Mintcoin. The chance of this happening would be about the same as Santa coming down my chimney.

Won't be for free?  Well you might as well mention what it is and put up a donation address because the mint devs never pay for shit.  Wasn't the android wallet even community funded?

The issue is not premine. It is:
- lack of transparency about it. Even more, lack of presence of the dev. Extremely busy is not an excuse. When you are extremely busy, you do something about it, like finding someone to replace you, at least temporarily or at least publicly ask for it.
- tyranical behaviour/scare tactics of demodding and deleting post.

When I repeatedly questioned the premine spending I was labelled a troll until I sold all my MINT off (long ago thankfully, still in profit).

I also questioned the attitude of the dev for encouraging people to sell when the price started crashing from 60 satoshis downwards.

Seems like now the price has hit rock bottom and even the people who bought in at 7 satoshis are feeling pain, people are starting to wake up.

Maybe people think you're a troll because you dig up old posts that have already been responded to, ...maybe.

I think its valid.. I questioned the devs integrity first time we pmed each other.. the premine is too big of an issue especially with the today its cool tomorrow move on attitudes with all the new choices everyday.

not trying to promote other coins but fluttercoin just released an "android wallet". they just use an app for accessing their online wallet. which is really sweet because you don't have to download the blockchain. and it's PoS able. and it can be accessed from any device (IOS, android,...).

that's what i had in mind. maybe the whole concept can be copied for mintcoin. but again i'm not a programmer.

I knew in my gut that Mintcoin is awesome. The reddit post just confirms it. There was no premine scam and the developers pumping everything into the development and awareness of this coin.

Can't wait for the big news the developer is releasing. Lots of interesting projects underway.

Perhaps it could, but it would be better to continue down the current road imho, because this wallet should be unique to Mint... at least for a few days.

It's better for the coin if we launch a wallet to be copied from, instead of copying someone else. We want to lead, not follow.

Not putting down the other wallet in any way at all... just would be better for the coin if we didn't do that.
