My "enhanced verified" account is still locked, like many others, no response from support, no response on Twitter.

Be aware of this criminal organisation; get your funds out.

Has anyone been able to get enhanced verification completed? I just submitted my documents just wanna know how long it takes for it to go through. I saw that they have basic verification too but it wouldn't accept it for whatever reason. If anyone who has gotten it done can answer it I would really appreciate it.

I've tried everything!  Basic verification ---> failed.  Enhanced verification ---> failed.  Manual Verification ---> failed because they kept wanting more information each time, and I started feeling like I was incriminating myself so I stopped communicating with them.  It just "feels" like they're gathering information for something else other than using their platform.  Holding our funds hostage is a great vehicle for them to engage in an intelligence operation.  Beware of deep blockchain analytics ---> keep your addresses fresh and clean.

What is Bittrex?

Bittrex is a next generation crypto trading platform built and operated in the United States by crypto enthusiasts with extensive development and security background.  We have over 50 combined years in the computer industry at companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualys, and Blackberry and have made careers developing secure and scalable software.  You can learn more about us on our About page.

Our mission is to deliver the fastest and most secure trading platform for the community.

We are launching with 10 currencies and will be adding more as we get community feedback.  It is important to us that our platform performs to our high expectations before additional currencies and features are added.  Screenshots below.

Features

  • Custom built trading engine - Our custom trading engine was developed from the ground up with speed and scale as the priority.  Orders are executed as soon as they are placed and you will never see a crossed order book or a delay in processing of any trades.
  • Secure platform – We employ the latest security technologies to protect you and us.  We use an elastic multi stage wallet strategy ensuring that 80-90% of funds are offline and safe.  Additionally two-factor authentication (through email or google authenticator) is required for all withdrawals and API usage.  We designed everything from the ground up with security in mind.
  • Fast deposits and withdrawals - Our fully automated monitoring platform allows for near instantaneous updates on balance, trade, and wallet information.  You will never be left wondering where your funds are or if your deposits are blocked.  Information is always up to date.
  • Complete and easy REST API - We have designed the most complete API set for developers to build on our platform.  Our full featured set of APIs allow you to easily deposit, trade, and withdraw to and from our exchange, enabling arbitrage scenarios never possible before.  Bittrex was built with high frequency trading in mind.

[UPDATE]
Follow updates and development in our announce thread as well!

I strongly recommend everyone, who still can, to withdraw all of his coins from Bittrex. It looks more and more like an exit scam. They are still accepting deposits but continue to silently downgrade accounts to "New" every day and drop their withdrawal limit to 0.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bittrex soon announces that they have been hacked and that the coins have been stolen and then close the exchange while keeping all the coins for themselves.

Nobody knows for sure what's going on. Many people were able to get verified eventually, but quite a few were not. If your verification failed you should submit a ticket and wait with a hope that it will be resolved somehow. Basic verification works (sometimes) for US-based users. Enhanced verifications is based on the external service called Jumio, and I'd assume it works for users with their personal information perfectly matching their ID doc and selfie - looks like users from US and EU countries are being verified quickly. Bittrex is in the process of tightening KYC/AML policies, but the way they do it is totally unacceptable. They basically got users funds as hostage to force them to verify, and all of this without proper notification.

As a US resident, I can confirm that my Basic Verification is still active. I signed up in September. However, the withdrawal limit was lowered from 3 BTC to 0.4 BTC when I logged in today. I'm not sure when that change occurred, as I've been too paranoid to fund my Bittrex account given all the account locking. I'm really not comfortable handing my documents over to this 3rd party "Jumio." If Equifax can't even secure my info, I don't think "Jumio" can.

Also, when I logged in, I was immediately directed to the "Enhanced Verification" page. It was not mandated, and my daily withdrawal limit still says 0.4 BTC. But it doesn't give me a good feeling.

I think I'll stick with Poloniex, HitBTC, Cryptopia and Yobit for now.

Move to Poloniex and get away from this shitshow  Wink

Poloniex are, in some way, worse than Bittrex. Just look at all the transaction that just vanish into the ether on Poloniex, many do eventually get there coin but only after several week - or even months - stuck in limbo. Just have a look at the Poloniex thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=420836.2860

More than anything else, it seems like pressure from regulators. They're based in Seattle; knowing the Washington State government, I'll bet they're up Bittrex's ass. Wouldn't be surprised if law enforcement were keeping a close eye as well.

I still have a working Basic account (US resident), but I've lowered my exposure. I don't know what to believe. Bittrex says only a tiny portion of customers are affected. None of the traders I follow seem affected. But there's a lot of activity on these threads. Undecided

If you want a good exchange give Binance a try.

Are there verification requirements? I'm getting really tired of giving sensitive info to shitcoin exchanges. Also, what do you get from the referral link? % of commissions?

The first huge problem is that Basic verification seems to only work for US residents. People from the rest of the world are forced to make an Enhanced verification by sending selfies and scanned IDs to Bittrex (which is something not everyone is willing to do) and even then it may not work.

The second huge problem is that Bittrex silently downgraded a lot of accounts basically freezing the funds of many people thus forcing them to do an Enhanced verification because Basic one doesn't work. A simple email a few days before doing these account changes would be more than enough, because it would give users enough time to withdraw their money if they were not ok with the changes... I hope I'm not right, but this can soon turn into both money and personal data theft, so be careful.

Prices are crashing and my funds are stuck....Bittrex should have to pay us the difference.  They violated their own terms and it is costing us money.  I think we may have a case ---> plus, the margins are cumulative so we should be able to sue for some multiple over the peak market valuations, right?
