hello communities' blk
I wanted to ask if there is some problem in the network blk
my wallet is still two days to block 821102
and does not go forward..

what wallet version do you have? Does it show active connections?

version 1.2.1
16 active connections
and it always stops at the same point
if you give me a list of nodes update the folder BlackCoin.conf

no answer for two days from anyone ...

i used to have blk ...

i dunno what the current development is - or even if its being developed still ...

the blackcoinpool died - so that did the interest factor for me ... i am a miner afterall ...

but stopping at the exact same place? ...

where? ... near the end? ... or right at the beginning? ... windows? ... or linux? ...

if its anywhere after the first few hundred blocks - then you will find it really has nothing to do with nodes or servers ... unless the FULL nodes are completely down AND no one else is on the network with a FULL blockchain copy - then this has to be another issue altogether ...

hdd space? ... internet link? ... gotta be something else other than node links ...

ive just checked - and the problem is NOT the nodes ...

had it been the nodes - then NONE of the wallets would sync ... as each wallet acts full node when they are open by downloading the entire blockchain ...

and has shown - and commented just above - there are MANY full nodes out there currently and much more wallets open and staking ... so this must be an internal - or local issue ...

im looking for the latest wallet - and i will sync from beginning to end ... if it gets stuck on the same block - then possibly an issue with the wallet code ... which ill look into also ...

but i think rat4 is the one who has updated the code - and looks like he has done a pretty good job ...

i may compile from his git and let you know ... though this will be either tomorrow - or a few days away ( as i am just unpacking from a move - and preparing for another big move in 5 weeks and its late night here in australia ) - so i dont think you can wait that long ...

can anyone help here - by deleting the whole blockchain ( NOT the wallet.dat or .conf files ) and starting the sync again to prove this? ...

ummm - WOW ...

you do NOT need that many nodes in the conf file ...

i dont even have a conf file - and after the compile - the sync was perfect ...

how about you remove ALL the addnodes ... and i mean ALL of them ...

delete all the other files in the blackcoin directory - EXCEPT - for your .conf and wallet - and try and resync again ...

if you have already done this before - try renaming the .conf to .conf.bak to remove it from the setup for blk ( but not deleting it ) and then run your wallet again and see what it does after a few minutes ...

if it is STILL stuck on that block - you have an issue that is specific to your system ...

virus scanner maybe? ... as the blockchain does carry much data - some of that data may be construed as a viral infection - or at the very least a threat of one - and the virus scanner blocks any attempt to continue ...

i know that this is an issue with the bitcoin blockchain and virus scanners ...

where? ... near the end? ... or right at the beginning? ... windows? ... or linux? ...

if its anywhere after the first few hundred blocks - then you will find it really has nothing to do with nodes or servers ... unless the FULL nodes are completely down AND no one else is on the network with a FULL blockchain copy - then this has to be another issue altogether ...

ive just checked - and the problem is NOT the nodes ...

had it been the nodes - then NONE of the wallets would sync ... as each wallet acts full node when they are open by downloading the entire blockchain ...

and has shown - and commented just above - there are MANY full nodes out there currently and much more wallets open and staking ... so this must be an internal - or local issue ...

im looking for the latest wallet - and i will sync from beginning to end ... if it gets stuck on the same block - then possibly an issue with the wallet code ... which ill look into also ...

but i think rat4 is the one who has updated the code - and looks like he has done a pretty good job ...

i may compile from his git and let you know ... though this will be either tomorrow - or a few days away ( as i am just unpacking from a move - and preparing for another big move in 5 weeks and its late night here in australia ) - so i dont think you can wait that long ...

can anyone help here - by deleting the whole blockchain ( NOT the wallet.dat or .conf files ) and starting the sync again to prove this? ...

i dont even have a conf file - and after the compile - the sync was perfect ...

how about you remove ALL the addnodes ... and i mean ALL of them ...

delete all the other files in the blackcoin directory - EXCEPT - for your .conf and wallet - and try and resync again ...

if you have already done this before - try renaming the .conf to .conf.bak to remove it from the setup for blk ( but not deleting it ) and then run your wallet again and see what it does after a few minutes ...

if it is STILL stuck on that block - you have an issue that is specific to your system ...

virus scanner maybe? ... as the blockchain does carry much data - some of that data may be construed as a viral infection - or at the very least a threat of one - and the virus scanner blocks any attempt to continue ...

i know that this is an issue with the bitcoin blockchain and virus scanners ...

It would be difficult to do in a safe way as your private key is needed to mine a block. The simplest way to increase regularity is to… buy more BLK.

usually 24/7 unless there is internet or power problems. which is rare
i != shady company
you will get your coins back unless i'm dead. or i can send you the wallet private key and then no worry

I was thinking about something like Just-Dice for clams but without the gambling aspect. Something or someone trustable enough to whom you could send your blackcoin and receive your "share" of the staking reward.

Maybe it will be easier to buy a little more BLK

Mine hasnt staked for weeks but its a really iffy wifi connection thanks to big old house walls.   Does it matter much if it reconnects a few times a day, not sure if connectivity or bandwidth would effect it

I tested one of the demos (the nice picture), is it instant TX or because BLK's chain is fast?
sent payment from my blackcoin's laptop, when i went back to my other laptop payment already confirmed
