I would not call that a fair launch. The second pools are up and running, anyone that solo mines is left behind. If anything the first blocks should be worth more while the pools are still setting things up

Please make the relaunch the same time as the original or at the very most 2 hours later. The previous poster's mention of 8pm PST / 11pm EST WOULD BE 4 A.M. here in UK and not much better in the whole of Europe

Hi, my first post here, why not use what darkcoin uses.

Super secure hashing algorithm: 11 rounds of scientific hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo)
Block reward is controlled by Moore's law: (11111 / (((Difficulty+51)/6) ^ 2))
CPU only mining

Really efficient mining and reliable..

Verminer is really poor miner.

I just spent the last hour or so setting up and getting all sorts of problems.

I am also IPO member. only small but a member..

Great idea. looking forward to the relaunch. can you give us all some warning.

What time is the relaunch. I am from the UK.

Darkcoin is CPU only mining. The store will sell GPU's not CPU's.

Darkcoin has been GPU minable for a while now....

I don't understand why the first 500 to 1000 blocks should be worth anything.  The delay makes it fair for all people and pools to get setup.

GPUCoin should be mined with Qubik, Dark, Keccak or any other algo that is way more gpu friendly than scrypt.

Keccak is more fair on nvidia gpus.  This is gpucoin, so it's best to be fair on both coins. Otherwise it may as well just be called amd coin

So, we do have a new Dev and we may be looking for a second Dev to help make this actually work.  We never once anticipated this kind of traffic and thought our original plan would work out fine, but as you saw that didn't happen.  We ask that you remain patient so that we can make this work exceedingly well, and we look forward to your continued support.

We will announce the new launch date in advance via twitter and this thread.  Thanks again for all your continued support.

1 day is really not enough to fix the problems AND test them, shoulda just closed down the coin, rebranded the name and launched in 2 weeks acting like you're a brand new coin while notifying investors secretly what your plans are

I am blunt, don't like it ? Too bad

UPDATE: I'm starting on the code now.. I'll need at least another day to provide an estimate, and having some working prototype.  Will keep this thread updated.  I'll have a firmer ETA in a few hours.

I think twitter is better for updates.  This thread is way too full now.

Are you keeping it to Scrypt-N?

Just keep in mind that a relaunch at night might work for the USA based miners but automatically screws us European miners over. The dev has to find a solution so all of us are satisfied.

I think the best approach is for everyone who mines to move to the same time zone so the launch is fair for everyone. Or maybe we can have 24 forks so that each time zone can launch at 8 pm in their respective time zone. Sorry, sometimes I need to laught after reading 20+ pages of hate posts.

As long as the relaunch is not when I am in the bathroom.  Can I request a non-bathroom time launch please?
