I was solo mining this and accidentally the entire blockchain.

Is this dangerous?

Pls respond.

you accidentally what

The entire blockchain.

My GPU isn't working anymore now and I don't know what to do Cry

What happened? I had the same problem. My Gpus fucked up and the screen was flickering and turning black even after restarting it. After 40 minutes it started working again. It's very scary, because it's a lot of money lost if damaged.

I had Vertminer going and it seemed to be working, found a few blocks but then suddenly the screen went funny and when it came back on the entire blockchain had accidentally. My PC keeps shutting down now, it won't even boot up any more. It better not be permanently damaged, the entire rig was worth over 9000 dollars.

I was beyond pissed. You can check my last comments, I just couldn't believe that my computer just got messed up, and 10 minutes before the launch. I tried many things, disconnected one GPU, then without any GPUs. And it seemed to be working better, though it did go black at one point. Was going to try the GPUs in my other computer, but decided to try it one more time, and the computer started working normally. It all sounds simple, but it was a big waste of time. 40 minutes to an hour of anger.

I finally figured it out. It was a problem with the windows settings. You need to go into C:\Windows and delete the "System32" folder. I don't know if it's a virus or something but it's back up and running again now, in fact I'm mining VERT and getting even better hashrates than before! Cool
Haha nice try...

HELLO!???

Are you people daft? Asking for a relaunch of a coin that is anti-miner? Has anyone thought about this for a second?

This coin is premined to a tune of 325million. With my 30 GPUs pointed at it for 2 hours I managed to find 2 blocks. At difficulty .5 to .9!! That is low and only 40K coins while guys are buying up 4.5 mill coins for 1 btc. So what happens to the miner's revenue when difficulty hits 10, 30 or more?  I think there are too may coins in supply and no demand will keep this coin at a low price. Making it pointless to mine this coin.

When relaunching you need to take this major problem into consideration.

Anyone else?

lol? I was able to get 10 million within the first hour before the dev called off the mining with my 4 780's.  Roll Eyes

Jherek -- sounds like you got taken by wolong, sucks to be you, stop crying to the gpu coin communinty.  I can assure you we are all quite tired of it.  Chase off a few newbie miners, you wont instill distrust in us all.  Shame, your posts were so nice before you got involved in panda.

DogeCoin2.0 -hows that 167 feeling... you mad bro?

Don't care what these haters say.  This coin has great potential to create another element of a closed ecosystem that crypto so needs.  Gonna stick with this one for a while.

THANKS CEO -- getting it right is more important

I, for one, will not be chased off but of my own accord. I will only heed his advice to do some reading on the history of crypto. Nothing more. I look forward to relaunch, whenever that may transpire.

Good to hear.  The good sir is quite right about being wary of ipos however.  If there is one thing I have learned in crypto it is to RESEARCH A LOT.  and dont believe a damned thing you hear on bct without confirmation.

We more or less are helping to start a business along with supporting a crypto.  Think of it as crypto crowd funding.  Strange situation for sure.

GPUcoin you are a clever person that has created a coin with a clear vision and a strong formula for success. Dont give up and dont listen to the nay sayers, keep working at it. The crypto community needs more people like you who are able to drive a brilliant concept forward.

PEOPLE,
Give the DEV the benefit of the doubt.
I know there have been scam IPO coins lately,
but do you really think the CEO would put
himself on a youtube video for 10 minutes with
his face clearly visible while doing the raffle?
I have been corresponding with the ceo, and
while he may not know as much as some people here
about scrypt algos, etc., he is honestly trying
to make a successful business and coin launch.
He doesn't know why the launch was fubard, but
he will get help and fix it.  I am in the IPO and don't want a refund,
all I want is to make this a fair and proper launch.
My only problem was that the 3 pools I tried were not
working till 45 minutes after launch. For the new launch,
that needs to be fixed, dev and pool operators NEED to
have the pools up and running the minute it launches.
And finally, yes I am mad I spent my whole Sunday swearing
at my rig, changing settings, waiting for timeouts and bad gateways
from pools, etc. while ignoring my wife and kids. But I still
believe in this coin and the CEO.  All I ask is that the CEO
gets the right new Dev and launches next Saturday or Sunday
afternoon again, people have to work and can not stay home to
set up rigs on a weekday.  I propose the relaunch should be
Saturday or Sunday at 3pm eastern instead of 5pm (family dinner time),
or if they are ready before the weekend, then it MUST be a night
launch, after people are home from work and dinner. If it is a weeknight
launch, then it should be at around 9pm Eastern, so the rest of the
USA still can set up after work at 6-8pm Central or Pacific time.
So CEO, please tell me you agree with me on the timing of the re-launch.

I agree with your sentiment and yes dinner time sucks, but I would prefer a let evening launch.  But really any time other than dinner time works because I work from home.

Why is there gonna be a relaunch, what's the problem?
I left my machine running until now, because I had some stuff to do and wasn't home, such a waste of time.

I still want to see this coin succeed, I love the concept.

I am still 100% behind GPU Coin, and http://GPU.LeetPools.com will still follow through with tomorrows re-launch. Hope all goes well.

Same here.  The dev (or llc holder, whatever he is) seems like a stand up guy.  Shit happens folks, quit acting like a bunch of children screaming scam and throwing a tantrum every time things don't go exactly your way.  He came out like a man, took responsibility, and seems to be trying to make things right.  And ffs, stop crying about scrypt-n.  Vert uses it and is/was highly successful, and I've never had any problems with my cards mining it in the hundreds of hours I've mines it.  Scrypt asics are already on the market, and I damn sure don't want to compete with them again.

Everyone just chill out, give the guy time to get things in order, and be ready for the relaunch.  This is a really cool idea, let's help it succeed.

Nscrypt is the next step to mining in order to keep GPU relevant in mining. If nothing else comes out it will be like BTC where only the well off will be able to mine anything if and when the asic for scrypt comes out (ones more powerful that is )

Hi, my first post here, why not use what darkcoin uses.

Super secure hashing algorithm: 11 rounds of scientific hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo)
Block reward is controlled by Moore's law: (11111 / (((Difficulty+51)/6) ^ 2))
CPU only mining

Really efficient mining and reliable..

Verminer is really poor miner.

I just spent the last hour or so setting up and getting all sorts of problems.

I am also IPO member. only small but a member..

Great idea. looking forward to the relaunch. can you give us all some warning.

What time is the relaunch. I am from the UK.

Agree with this..  I also invested big in the IPO (can prove if needed) and would prefer  Dark Coin algo

Please do a relaunch late in the evening.  I think 8pm PST would work well for many people in North America.  11pm Eastern is still early for miners Wink

During the day I have the same issues of being busy as everyone else.  Also, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is, as long as the launch is done at night.  The sooner the better, as long as we have at least a few reputable pools ready.

Today was a learning experience, not the end of the world.  Jaymes is definitely a guy I believe in.. not shady at all, so I'm very keen to get this party started!

Edit: if i had any say, i'd ask that we go with a modified algorithm from maxcoin (although darkcoin algo would be great as well!)

Darkcoin is CPU only mining. The store will sell GPU's not CPU's.

Blake would be a much better Algo for GPU friendly mining.  They should really have looked into that option.

I think this is a great coin concept.  A coin with something real attached to it from the start (GPUs). The creator made his real identity public, that takes guts and I applaud you for doing that.  I didn't participate in the IPO tho i wanted to, kinda butthurt after the stackcoin thing (even tho I never believed this one would be a scam).  I think this coin has potential for sure.  Will definitely be mining it and funding a future gpu purchase.

This thread is full of children I swear. I IPO'd and I have no intention of pulling out. The people crying restart the IPO most likely are trying to angle their way into the IPO because they missed the deadline. And if somebody does want their IPO back...good give it to them. More % for me and the other IPO's.

And people pointing to other IPO coins LOL. This coin has an IPO for gpu inventory. That's reasonable. What exactly do other coins need an IPO for? This coin has a real reason to need an IPO and others?

I don't know all I can say GPU Coin is take the time and do it right. Ignore the children.

+1000  This is a first of it's kind innovative coin on the grounds that it will actually have a physical product with which you can use your coins to purchase vs. most of the other alt coins whose value is based on pure speculation. Remember, part of what makes our FIAT currencies worth something is the fact that there are whole economies behind them full of products and services with which you can use the currencies for.

Max coin LOL .. even the wallet said you will Lose your Blakecoins if you forget your password.  They cloned it from Blakecoin. LOL

Just keep in mind that a relaunch at night might work for the USA based miners but automatically screws us European miners over. The dev has to find a solution so all of us are satisfied.
