After experiencing the Maxcoin launch, I think canceling it and relaunching it is the best move. Of course it really sucks for those who will be at work tomorrow, and those who rented a rig. So I feel really bad for those.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

For re-launch, please get rid of the scrypt-n crap and go with regular scrypt!!!

+ 1,000,000,000,000,000,000....you get the point.  Maybe get this coin going as a regular Scrypt coin and at sometime in the future, start a GPU2Coin based on Scrypt-N!  I don't have a problem per say with Scrypt-N, but so many users did.

Re-launch in the evening this week or set up for new launch next weekend.  Just my 2 cents.

The new dev is looking over all the source code files to find out what went wrong and what we need to do to fix it.  We would like to do a re-launch tomorrow, but depending on the errors could take up to 3 days.

I know there are a LOT of angry people, which includes myself, that this whole venture has come to a grinding halt so soon.  As with anything new there are bumps, and we will over come them.

You have my utmost sincere apology and I hope that together we can still build and foster a great community.

C'mon guys ScryptN is your salvation! My 7950's were cracking to 550kh with it

WTF are you running them at 2 GHz? Grin
Seriously that is at least 50% more than I have ever seen on a 7950

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469887.msg5470068#msg5470068

That's what I started out at. I can do a screenshot of the 500+ if you'd like. Nicely advanced 7950 setup. You should've seen the 280X hashrates lol.

Are you sure your cards provide valid work? I have yet to see even a 290X at 500+...

They clearly are all rejects in the pic. It's not producing valid work and certainly not at 500+ like he claims. He probably is using the 0.5.4pre2 miner and has --scrypt instead of --nscrypt in the config

You guys are retards. That was on pool.mn's reject testnet, from page 30 or so. EVERYONE was getting rejected work because it was TEST.

Yes, my rigs produce legit work. I earn btc every 3 days or so. My 7950's push past 720 on Scrypt, and my 270's push past 500kh on Scrypt. I can point you to any number of developers, poool operators, etc, who can vouch.

Never debate with Vesper about rig performance... the man is a genius... he has access to trouble shoot my rigs 24/7... from the opposite side of the globe... he is on my payroll.

Fubar. Your stupid coin and your incompetent dev cost me more than 0.2BTC in rig rental. I hope you could include me in the IPO for that much. I have proof. Currently 4 rigs mining on Betarigs, 10mh/s for 6 hours.

Come mine Redd -- redd.oakpool.com

REDD is Scrypt. I rented 4 Scrypt-N adaptive rigs, which cost twice to 3x as much.

Fuck this shit. There goes my money.

if I were in your shoes, I would mine Vertcoin.

Really? You realize it's GPU ram intensive right, not system ram. I can mine at like 3mh/system with 2gb on ScryptN.

And now you learned a valuable lesson about participating in risky ventures.

You are simply taking a risk by renting a rig for a coin that has not been launched yet.  You should not expect someone to help you cover these costs, they are your costs.

Consider it a learning experience.

Not at all, I'm running six on a H61 Pro BTC motherboard and 8GB of RAM at 6x370KH/s.
Sometime when relaunching the miner after changing settings a card or two does get very low hash rate in the 5-30KH range, a reboot solves it.
