Just saw LTC on Crypto Times.

Anyone know if LTC really IS coming to Coinbase and if so, when?

And how does Segwit move ahead from here?

Thanks!

The Crypto Times v 0.06– Litecoin to moon? Segwit/Coinbase

https://youtu.be/5qMUTNRALXU

No moon for the chikun we are going straight to another solar system. As soon as segwit is active and coinbase adds it to their exchange the rocket will start and never stop!!!

Another solar system will not happen as segwit will not be activated any time soon so better get back to ur moms tit. There's enough time left till early fall which is when the final decision on whether the activation will take place should be made. I'm still hoping to see larger pools standing up and knocking out this moronic segwit joke. I say bitcoin is not ready for stuff like that, it's too perfect to be real.

Do you realize that you are in LTC forum here? And LTC will get segwit in few weeks. Bitcoin might get at the end of the year, might....

Damn skippy, What I really want to know is why LTC is 66 CNY on OKCoin still with roughly the same volume of Poloniex.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/okcoin/ltccny

66 CNY = 9.66 US Dollar

this is great for those miners to play on high leverage
turn on  price up = sell sell
sold...
turn off price down = buy buy
bought...
repeat for profit then when people are bored you move to it higher price Cheesy
and repeat same scenario all time.

Jihan is using his customers pre-ordered miners to run mine on non-segwit pools, while claiming that they're delayed because of a "firmware issue". If this is not the scummiest I don't know what is. What a god damn cockroach he is...

Literally every ASIC manufacturer has done that. There are practically zero repercussions for anything in cryptocurrency.

Pay a large sum, larger than you could ever hope to pay back mining, for a miner advertised arriving several months before it actually shows up that has been used to the point of failure and is no longer as profitable because they have used the order money to produce a new batch of asics for themselves.

the difference here is that he is actively doing something that lowers the price of the coins the customer wants to mine...that is next level fucked up

Sure, and he might even possibly be colluding with Charlie Lee. If you pay attention on twitter you know for sure they are both in that "Dragons Den" group. Which, sounds to me like a racketeering group.

Cryptocurrency is a fine demonstration on why the stock market became regulated. Over time some regulations might have been worked around but back when they were first implemented large corporations were outright colluding with competitors, creating monopolies, price fixing, and so on.

Finally, I'm not all that convinced that previous asic retailers didn't do something similar in manipulating prices to give the impression of profitability before crashing the market. It wasn't quite as overt, granted, but it was there.

Guys BlockNet may be adding Lite coin (today or this week) to its beta software ! The software is in beta but is soon be launched. Just letting you know you may want to try it out. There is very few Block being traded on Bittrex to become a node you need 5,000 block.

Influential Miners who could tip the balance are to meet soon with Charlie Lee to discuss SegWit implementation on Litecoin:
https://twitter.com/SatoshiLite/status/855066671312019456

The Litecoin price shot up from 0.003367BTC to 0.011098BTC soon after Charlie Lee published his paper “My Vision For SegWit And Lightning Networks On Litecoin And Bitcoin” in January 2017.
https://segwit.org/my-vision-for-segwit-and-lightning-networks-on-litecoin-and-bitcoin-cf95a7ab656b

When the forces opposing SegWit put a question mark over SegWit after a very bright start in the current signalling round, the Litecoin price fell dramatically. On the recent news of a roundtable meeting to clear the air, the Litecoin price has started to move up again.

A straightforward implementation of SegWit would seem to be the best solution for everyone.

If UASF became the last resort, let's look at what could happen in the worst case scenario i.e. if some miners force a chain split after UASF, causing two versions of Litecoin:

  • One fork would be a derivative of the old Litecoin. Miners not wanting SegWit could ride this version back to the $4 it originally was, and then probably into oblivion.

  • The other fork would be the new, powerful Litecoin, reinvigorated by SegWit, Lightning Networks and all the possibilities that could bring. Colossal potential indeed!

Now if those two coins were on an exchange, which one do you think investors would buy?
Which coin do you think the exchanges would prefer?
And which one do you think that the miners would prefer to mine?
