In my exp, with some A/B testing two pools during the same period, at least 12 hrs each, pools with small fees tend to give you better payout compared to free ones.

Free pools are usually either:
a) down quite frequently - decreases your mining efficiency
b) higher rejects (or higher % of invalid shares in case of PPLNS) - decreases mining yield
c) more stale shares

People are stupid so don't link directly to the [mirrored] downloads, they need to read the warnings and information first: https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,4615.0.html

Update the client and be done with it. It's not that hard and probably takes way less energy than posting that funny image Smiley

Sorry guys. It seems like alerts were going haywire. I've canceled the alert. Let me know if you are still seeing alerts.

Ive been mining on the p2pool.org for over 5 hours, 3 blocks has been found in that time and 0 payouts, anyone has any idea of what is going on?

You are probably better of asking in p2pool.org thread... but usually it takes time to get the required number of confirmations and so on.
Unless your miner blowing junks, you will be fine.

Unfortunately we did not realize the horrible side effect of alerts on Mac OS X, mainly because people had Growl installed, and with Growl installed the messages become much more passive.

If you are still getting alerts, please upgrade to 0.6.9.2: https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,4615.0.html
