Great news! By the way, why not try to make some fundraising from the "whales")) I believe that the biggest account holders would be interested to revive the coin - their assets will be worth a lot more...
I don't know who the whales are at this point. I mean, I've bought up 15%. But 75%+...is it waiting to dump into me? Are they lost keys? I know a lot is sitting on the market on Cryptsy. I don't think I'll be able to do fundraising from whoever they are. It's the other way around: I'll be buying them out on the way up. :-)
Right now I'm just amazed that I haven't seen another 1M+ dump into me for about a day now.
But I've built up enough NYAN that I'm certainly willing and able to help fund community development in NYAN however I can. I just got a new NYAN tipbot, tipnyan, going on reddit. I've hit some frustration with blockchain transactions sending to it right now though, so I've got yet another reminder of the good reasons we need to go over to PoS as soon as we can.
And yes, I'm absolutely trying to rebuild the coin in a positive feedback loop to build the value of the NYAN I've bought along the way. :-)
Edit:
I have the same problem I just downloaded the latest client and I cannot connect to the network. Does anyone know what the problem is?
If this is still an issue, please let me know and I'll try to help resolve it.
Edit 2: Transactions are mostly going through fine for me. I'd had a wallet sync issue before I switched nodes, but I haven't had a problem with addnode="71.175.81.45". When I was funding tipnyan starting it up, I happened to hit a gap of more than an hour in blocks, which is pretty crazy on a coin with 1 minute block average targets, but basically due to having so little hashing power on it making it pretty susceptible to difficulty spikes at this point.
But tipnyan is working for me; I was able to do a large giveaway on /r/dogecoin with it. I'm going to use it for sending nyan and people can withdraw at their convenience. I trust the VPS host I have; hopefully I won't screw up the sysadmin side. So far the bot has basically run itself perfectly well as far as I can tell. It's nice software.
It's going to be interesting to see where this goes.
Oh, and updated disclosure with more details on the subreddit: I'm now at about 19% and rising in ownership of available NYAN.
