That seems like A LOT of POS I'd have thought 0.6% was nearer the mark?

Given where it had got to when the blockchain stopped, what will that mean in terms of total coins?

I think 0.6% pos just makes no sense in a crypto world, even daily volatility for almost any coin is higher than that.
60% annual is somewhere around the minimum to attract pos community to the coin.
Block 536698 shows 337 mil moneysupply but the actual amount is unclear as it's almost one year old, probably many wallets got lost/deleted.

BTW, I'm finishing with block explorer and going to build a final wallet version, release is coming very soon, within 24 hours or so Smiley

Volatility and interest rate (as that is what PoS amounts to) are not the same.

I guess I just can't see the utility of a coin that rewards doing nothing with your coins at such a rate.  Surely all it means is no coins get spent ever?

I'll certainly be pleased to see it back, but it is certainly a long way from the original vision.

V network is up now!

New wallet:
Source code: https://github.com/noise23/version
Windows binary: http://dl.version2.org/version-qt-2.0.0.0.zip

Nodes are built-in, you can sync from scratch, or it will pick up syncing from the old blockchain,
or use bootstrap - http://dl.version2.org/version-bootstrap-537060.tar.gz

Block explorer: http://explorer.version2.org/
Pool: http://v.acidpool.com/

I have to finish with the website then going to start a new V topic as we can't edit the OP here.

That's great work you have done.

Will you be trying to get version back on an exchange soon? The last exchange I remember that listed version was nxt-e which now seems to have closed. It might have also been on some other exchange but I'm not sure which one.

Hey guys.I downloaded new wallet sync with bootstrap and retored wallet.dat back up what wallet keeps saying not responding. My coins are showing in wallet but keeps freezing up.
Looks like your wallet has a lot of blocks and all they trying to produce a stake as the coinage is huge so there is a heavy load.
Try to start a wallet with -reservebalance=999999999 key - it will disable staking.

Well, it's so sad to see V dying  Sad

Reviewed the source code today, maybe I can try to fix it and resurrect the coin (not sure yet though).

It looks like with a current crazy stake rate damage already went too far - moneysupply is around 340 millions, it's definitely too much.
I have a copy of V blockchain from April 14 with 210216 blocks and nice 1.8 million only moneysupply.

So maybe we can manage to start from that point and give a second birth to V.

What do you guys think?
Is it OK for you to restart from April 14 with fixed PoS at 10% (or we can change the rate)?

wow - really great job noise23 with resurrecting Version [V] - the blockchain and parts of the code was a real mess.

Not totally sure on exactly how many Version coins I have at present due to the slight rollback.

Recovering my wallets, re-syncing and will re-evaluate the bounties I set.

New PoS rate is quite high - although I guess it makes it worthwhile mining some to stake interest.

Most probably there was no rollback at all, it started from 536698 - the longest known blockchain.
