Why do you participate in bounties if you think they are pointless or stupid? Not sure it makes sense.

First of all , it would NOT be kick in the nuts for regular ICO participants if the bounty would be paid in ETH instead of tokens but this would mean that they actually pay something not just their emitted token.

But the quality is poor, i have to agree and shockingly also among high ranking members.

Wow. There are advantages and disadvantages to everything in this world op. Bounties also have their own advantages and disadvantages, but the advantages far outweigh their disadvantages. How do you expect to market your coin or token and attract investors through minimal expenses in the cryptocurrency market? Bounties are the best answer to this question since they help promote the coin or token and help the company save a lot of money in the process. Think before posting such stuff op.

I agree, bounty is one of the powerful tools to promote your company in the crypto market. Thanks to a bounty of little-known companies receive extensive interest among crypto investors and attract a huge number investnets!

It's a great way to market, remember a lot of these ICOs have a small budget. Using that 2% to spread the word of your ICO to people who will potentially invest without having to throw money down is very advantageous.

You are right, sometimes it's a bunch of high ranking people who collect a lot of the token, but remember they have worked to get it.

I dont think it is just about getting paid.

Look, if there is a possibility that a bounty hunter could end up as a buyer also then I will take that chance.
It happens. I have seen it and actually I am one.
Got to in loved with one token following them everywhere in social media. At first it was just all about the money but now it came to my  mind that it is a great project. So I bought more after the ICO instead of cashing out.

In my opinion not all bounty share 2% for bounty, and all the bounty are not same. Bounties are useful for an ICO to make people known about it and it's one of cheapest way they have to do so. But I have to say there is one part, I which is stupid in bounty campains, that the price falls to one-third almost till you receive tokens. It is annoying and suck really.

To criticise is always easier than to create something by your own and try to develop it with minimum expenses and maximum effectively. Of course everything has its pros and cons. But thinking like that you may pay a huge sum of money to VIP bloggers and even TV channels and have no money for something else. Everyone who became successful knows that the road to success is covered by the wise decisions and very strict and tough budget... so people try to find lots of alternative ways to create and develop the product with the minimum losses.

If you think I'm not like that. because I work on the bounty and the result is quite fair. Maybe you are out of luck, if not already found Bulan ICO project and the result much. But, believing that one day with your persistence, will surely find.

If the project is good, it will get good reviews from ICO trackers.

ICO trackers may ask for a fee in order to review an ICO. And in some cases the how good the reviewed ICO is shown depends on the paid fee.

No people will ever invest serious money in anything shilled in signature campaigns.

As shown, what ICO trackers actually do is also shilling, so it's no difference.
Many people want desperately to diversify and many don't care if they throw 100$ into a project just to see what happens.
And many enough small investors can fill the bucket, no need for serious/big investors.

Also the usual 2% bounties distribution is actually often a lot of money.. would cost much less to pay some popular bloggers to write some review.

I think that most do bounty campaigns and also blogging reviews. Many retweets just spread the word about those reviews.

Bounty campaigns give NO VALUE, at the expenses of ICO participants.

I do bounties now and then and I sometimes even invested into projects I've advertised because I considered them good. I think that this defeats your logic.
Also, while I know that I am one of the few, I don't just sell immediately the bounty incomes. I consider myself investing my time in the same way the other ICO participants invest money.

I now hate ICOs as I said in my thread, but even if I had to ever consider investing in one, I would not put a penny in it if the word "bounties" is in any chart.

Everybody has the right to have an opinion.
I suggest you research carefully which projects are good indeed (since most aren't) and invest in them whether they have bounty or not. Of course, it's up to you.

I think it's like advertising costs. A business that wants to develop its products to the public needs to advertise. Also, the cost for bounty is only 1-2% so it is not too much

What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.

Are you telling me that you are doing bounties yet you don't want to be paid?

i can see you are wearing a signature which tells you are part of a bounty.

payments are made after ICO and everyone has their own action on what they want to do on their holdings.

Don't sound like a hypocrite. You said if you had a coin (probably you don't have) you would never distribute it towards bounties, but you enjoy getting coins from bounties. Your signature speaks that you doing bounties but you are here rejecting it.

Grin Grin ... That sounds to me more like conflict of interest for him. He is holding up a signature from bounty and he is still claiming how stupid bounties are. Apparently, what he is not understanding is that if bounties are not working, there is no way any new setup will be looking forward to using it. It saves advert cost since they will be paying in the coins anyway while pushing out the project and products to the community, which for a very well managed one, it comes out great as long as they have an interesting product. So, for someone like OP to come tell us how stupid bounties are, I wonder where he really stands with his signature, which he might as well just wear for free.

For a few months of participating in bounty, I noticed that the quality of work of bounty hunters is falling. Nevertheless, the organizers of ICO continue to use this method of promotion. I think they know how to count money and they weigh the advantages and disadvantages in this case.

If for me quite the opposite. This bounty is one of the easiest way in crypto to be able to generate great benefits. I am sure that by following bounty, we can also get great results.

Maybe you are right. But airdrops is a really good thing for ICOs. If they need a large audience they make an airdrop with a reward 10$ and hundreds of people join it. They make a lot of tasks in different social networks. It is the cheapest way to involve people.

Bounties have shown their effectiveness otherwise no one would have launched them. No matter how well bounty hunters do their job, no matter how qualitative and informative their posts are, they do a very significant thing for a project - they speak about, spread the word, making it recognizable and famous. A lot of developers have confirmed it.

The alternative to bounties is to pay a marketing company in cash or bitcoin, and it is unlikely that they will want to use those assets. Risk is more for bounty hunters promoting a worthy project

I think advertising your project is an important thing to gain more investors. We all are know how effective the social media to do these jobs, and sometimes bounty hunters has their own role on promoting a project, even some of them are just spamming on their own pages or just post some low quality posts to get reward.
