Excuse the newbie question but why hasn't this coin really ever taken off? I have been watching it for a while, and frankly to me it seems to be pretty universal and fair for miners. I'm definitely a fan of Myriad. The fact that it supports multiple types of mining hardware is a great alternative when BTC halves this summer. Thoughts?
It would be easy for me to blame the market and say that only hype/PnD coins get ahead. This is usually true, but it doesn't help us. MYR has a marketing problem. There's been steps taking over the past few months to correct this, but we have a long way to go. As far as I know we're all amateurs here, no professional marketing gurus. As a community, we need to put our thinking caps on and figure out the best way to get the word out there.
The film competition is still running, and looking like we will have some fantastic entries. See details here
https://redd.it/4bw9cyThe website is improving everyday. We're just putting the finishing touches on a German translation.
I also have a couple of other plans: a viral (so I hope, but I do have some experience in that matter) marketing campaign should go live in the next couple of weeks. That's all I will say about that for now.
I'd also like to get a Wiki started up to give more information about MYR and make it easier to understand and more appealing to a wider audience. This should happen in the next few weeks.
These are just things I personally am working on, as I hate to sit on my coins for so long, knowing, just knowing they deserve to be worth so much more... And yet their value has not changed in over 1 year. So now I'm doing something about it.
