damn i feel like im the only one on skein :/
I'm the other guy mining skein

we just like doubled its difficulty almost

what cards you runin?
just one r9 290, don't worry it was all you Smiley
I only got 220Mh/s

wow my 280x runs 230 on skien lol....
I'm running it on stock settings to save on the power bill
if I go over a certain amount the power company charges me $0.35/kilowatt hour

my .bin file is named skeinHawaiigv1w256l4, and I am running it with I -14
anything I could do to boost my skein mining?

Memclock as it was said is not necessary. I helped with configuring a 290s, the result was between 240-260 depending on the card, I can safely say 240mh is a benchmark for 290s. Memclock set it to 1000, use gpu thread 2, and play with the TC ( 16000k , 18000k) , intensity is not needed on skein , maximum i=8, the most important is engine clock, put it as high as you find it stable and reliable depending on how comfortable you are with OC, minimum 1030, try 1050,1080, maybe 1100 if you want to try it out.

My mem clock goes all the way down to 300 according to Msi ab when mining. About tc, wharlt are the usual TC candidates?  Mine was 24550 on scrypt, dunno what it wiol be here in skein
when downclocking your memory you have to check it in cgminer what the real number is, because cgminer resets it. I can downlock it to 500 or even lower but cgminer resets it to default 1500. Now I have 280x @ 1040/900

ATTENTION EVERYBODY! We were discussing with some of the active members from IRC channel #myriadcoin that we definetely need to register the channel on freenode, so it can be moderated and taking care of, topic setting, etc. Seeing how there are 80% offline people, and you need to be an operator to register, it is impossible in the current state to register it, everybody needs to leave, so a few of the regulars agreed to register the channel: ##myriadcoin (2 x ##). I registered this channel in the idea for people to join here for chat, so everybody can leave the unregistered #myriadcoin channel and developer or somebody that is involved in the project can register it. If the dev and the community agree that they want to make ##myriadcoin the official channel of the coin, I am happy to give the "founder" flag to the developer or to somebody with trust in the community like foodies123 (creator of blockchain explorer), so they can take over, and I can glady drop my founder status without any problems if this is the case. If somehow you manage to get everybody out from #myriadcoin and register the channel, I will drop the newly created ##myriadcoin (by unregistering it)

yeah pretty sure cgminer resets it to 150 when not using the computer (just mining), checked it a lot of times with cgminer and other monitoring stuff.

bumps back up to 1250 when i use it for watching videos and other stuff, this algo is so light i can even play games, although hashrate reduces by about 25% when i play games Smiley

well i got up to 240 but thats with 1050 engine and its about 50  engine for 10mhash, dont think it is worthit to push more

anyone know what is up with nut2pools skein pool? stopped getting shares and the site says We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP. which generally means I am getting screwed.

This post sums up why all this bullshit is a scam
Read It. Hate It. Change the facts that it represents.

what algorithm and settings should be used for R9 280x cards? I am getting about 650 KH/s and 7-15 "WU" with my default settings with "skein", am I doing it wrong?

The dice games are back, and now they are provably fair:

Rules:
You must use a wallet that you control (you may not be in control of the sending address of a mining or trading account). Bets that are over the max bet will be returned minus a transaction fee (0.0005 MYR). Bets that are under the min bet will be kept and considered a donation. Game is played after one confirmation. Losers should receive 0.0001 MYR dust back to confirm game has been played.

Games are beta. If it eats your coins please PM me and I will recover them (I'll need the txid and will have to verify in the blockchain). Games may end at any time, check back here for status.

Addresses, results and proof can be viewed here:

http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/

As this is a beta, I am paying a 500 MYR bounty (in addition to any coins lost) for any flaws that can be found in the game or transactions. It must be a unique flaw, I will payout once per flaw to an individual. It must be proven in the blockchain. PM me if you find one.

Feedback is welcome.

Edit:
increased bounty for flaws
increased max bets again
will now return bets too large, keep bets too small
multiple vouts should work, no limitation anymore
addresses for dice games are now on the dice site:  http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/
raised bounty for flaws yet again

I'm new to the thread.  Just perusing some of the pages it seems like the developer isnt active and there a few issues with this coin.  Could someone give me a brief update?
