Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

so half of my zeitcoins are gone, i had 10 mil, now i have 5 mil.

all i can see in my transaction history are a bunch of "minted" after the 10 million of deposits in the first week of mining.

many (about half) of these "minted" transactions are greyed out. are my coins stuck? stuck by minting in their own wallet?

can someone please help me out Sad i've heard that there's a wallet debug command to like clear stuck transactions or something with pos coins?

I dont understand the problem.Mint has the lowest ZEIT trading volume far behind cryptsy, bittrex and coinex. Cryptsy 24h Volume ist 28x higher than Mintpals volume. What makes us think that mintpal is our major exchange?

NEW MARKET

(Especially) For those mining on Blake-256 who want something to do with the LTC from Photon - I just negotiated with the very nice @ByronP of Atomic exchange, we now have a Zeit-LTC market there too, so cheap Zeit can be got there without buggering around with transfers Grin

https://www.atomic-trade.com/trade?c=ZEIT&p=LTC

I'm already sitting there waiting with buy orders.

coinex? i thought that place was burned to the ground. cryptsy and bittrex are good enough. i dont really see the exchange as a problem for zeitcoin its the 'getting lost in the crowd' problem. i will hold regardless.

Hi podizzle, good to hear that you will hold. You are right with coinex.. I am using the cryptonator iphone app, it's not final as it seems...
I think the biggest mistake was the BTC market on mintpal. We are not really ready for a BTC market, not now - but who cares. People only will loose money when they are selling.
On the other hand we need attention.

Cheers,
Ray

IMO the thing that hurt us the most was the stealth launch of Zeit on Craptsy, followed by the move to LTC when there was still a perfectly viable orderbook on BTC - I should know, I had buy orders @ 3 & 4 which went unfilled when the pairing was changed.

I know they are a big & well-regarded exchange but THEY FUCKED US OVER TWICE and I'll never forgive them for that.

But most of all, we are where we are now because so many just mined & dumped as if this was another doggycoin. All so frigging impatient to make a few dollars when the coin was DESIGNED to be a long-term keeper Sad

We WILL regroup, we WILL rebuild - if only to make all the dumpers want to kill themselves.

who just bought 9 ltc worth of Zeit Tongue do you know something I don't know ? Wink

Thats about 0.15 btc worth, not a lot.  Now is actually a great time to buy and plan pumps as there seems to be less to blow through being in ltc.  Man wish we could get that guy that dropped 24btc or whatever it was awhile back to do that again.  Thatd be over 1350 LTCs to do some serious damage to those sell walls.

Lol You want me to blow down some LTC walls eh?

Indeed Smiley

Well maybe 50/50?  Half blowing through walls other half buy wall support.

I've got 5 or 6 LTCs to add to a coordinated attack as well.

Hmm, alright. Let me gather some resources first and then we can grab a sledgehammer and break some of these walls.

Gentlemen,

There's no immediate need for such a move.

I can't "announce" anything yet, but we have already started on a strategy which should ensure a return to where we should be before the end of the year. Let the dumpers dump & give the faithful a chance to increase their bags cheaply. Better we get rid of the chaff now rather than have them hanging round our necks when we fly again!

What we really could do with right now is

a) A few talented marketing people to join the staff team &
b) "spare a few shekkels for an old ex-leper, gov?"* i.e. some development funds in bitcoin or litecoin - to the addies in my sig.

Worry not, this only a blip in a long-term plan.

It's a pity that the elusive Mr Zeitgeist and his billion Zeit pre-mine doesn't seem to have enough faith in his coin. He doesn't deserve this community. I'm sure he is the main dumper.

Awesome! I just laid into the sell wall with a string of buys of my own, and sat behind you with more, but nothing like your order. This coin may indeed have a future!!!
