Russia Threatens to cut off Natural Gas to Ukraine http://news.yahoo.com/russia-threatens-cut-off-ukraine-gas-june-3-154426657.htmlMoscow (AFP) - Russia's state energy giant Gazprom warned on Monday that it may halt natural gas shipments to Ukraine on June 3 in a move that could impact the supplies of at least 18 EU nations.
Gazprom chief executive Alexei Miller said Ukraine must pay upfront for its June deliveries because of outstanding debts. He added that Kiev had until the morning of June 3 to make the payment "or Ukraine will receive zero cubic metres (of gas) in June," Interfax reported.

Investor Protection Fund of Crimea has opened a special account in the Russian National Commercial Bank (RNCB) for the settlement of loans taken by Crimeans in Ukrainian Privatbank, which blocked all the accounts of their customers and stopped operations on the peninsula, according to the fund. http://www.utro.ru/news/2014/05/12/1194325.shtml

Yep, another utility notification about the beginning of the new billing period. It seems that Ukraine think that having more than $3 billion debt is ok. Well, will see.

Since we're talking about sanctions , while i was reading one of the news i saw this other article: http://rt.com/politics/158304-russia-foreign-assets-bank/Apart from the funny side of the story: The newspaper’s unnamed source in the government has stressed that the main objective of the move was to uncover the civil servants who were dodging the ban on foreign assets as the sanctions make such people vulnerable to court action in in foreign jurisdictions, which is against the government’s desires. Is there such ban in Russia?

Yes. http://ria.ru/trend/_prohibition_account_02042013/The law prohibiting state servicemen from having foreign account got passed: http://ria.ru/politics/20130807/954928851.htmlIf deputies didn't want to close their foreign accounts, they should have resigned from their posts.

Breaking! US Planned to Turn Crimea into Military Base Against Russiahttp://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/breaking-us-planned-to-turn-crimea-into-military-base-against-russia/The information coming to the surface now shows that if Crimea stayed as part of Ukraine, it would have become a huge NATO/US military base. I seriously doubt that the people of the Crimea would have stood for that, but if such a thing did happen, it would have meant WWIII as Russia would never allow it. From this perspective it’s especially clear why NATO, USA and EU were so shocked that Russia decisively accepted Crimea back. They already considered it theirs.

Don't forget about doublethink To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget, whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again, and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself – that was the ultimate subtlety; consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed.

I haven't followed the news, but one commentor wrote: Almira Pérez, United Kingdom, 2 years ago
You should investigate more about the news you put on your website, because Katya Koren is actually a 19 year-old Christian woman originally from Russia, who had been missing in Sovyetskiy-Crimea for a week according to Crimean Tatar responsibles. The murder was not committed because of any religious reason, whether Islam or Christianity, but after sexual harrasment by Bilal Gaziyev, 16, a Crimean Tatar. I wonder what's the problem with putting religion in everything and provoking people. It is a shame that we can't even trust the news we read. Anyone knows more about the murder enquiry?

Police have opened a murder investigation and are looking into claims that three Muslim youths killed her, claiming her death was justified under Islam. One of the three - named as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev - is under arrest and told police that Katya had 'violated the laws of Sharia'. Gaziev has said he has no regrets about her death.
From the article ^. It seems more like it was a rape followed by murder and those youngsters just thought about sharia laws as a scapegoat. Also , dailymail....that's one paper you shouldn't trust a bit http://politicalscrapbook.net/2014/02/daily-mail-retracts-claims-about-fully-booked-immigrant-flights/

But unfortunately, the irrigated crops might need to be abandoned altogether. It is such a shame, as Crimea produces some of the best wine from the former-USSR.
