As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this ?

Ripple is finally waking Up and expediting its developments of XRP which very much related with XRP Utility, in past they made several partnership with the banks & some well known firms but the companies were using Xvia & Xcurrent services by Ripple ink which does not Utilise XRP coin. Now the price of the XRP Coin is increasing in price due the hype of the news & I feel its better to take advantage of this news rather making comparison between BTC & XRP. Presently in the market not a single coin have potential to replace BITCOIN.

There's always been artificial pumps of ripple ever since it was released.
It doesn't change the fact that it is a terrible company.
Do you even know how xrp pumps?
How can a coin that literally has no use rise so high in price?
One of the main reasons is because the vast majority of coins are held by the company itself.
They systematically release "big news" and then proceed to dump their coins on the market.
Basically, they are just making themselves rich and the idiot investors gobble it up.
The xrp platform itself is what banks are using, the coin itself not so much.
At least for eth, you can use it to invest in icos.

All of a sudden a sound from ripple is roaring. I guess the crypocurrency value has been started with a bang. Never expected a great show. Ripple has overtaken BTC and other altcoins this week hope it will continue. |

Ripple can never be like Bitcoin. Ripple doesn't have a solid technology. Bitcoin will always be the first choice in this market.

Taking over bitcoin is a long short. But at this rate it could usurp Ethereum.
The price has shown rapid increase in the past few hours. Mostly down to new updates and upgrades on the platform.

We really dont know but as of this moment it is already the number 2 coin overtaking the position of Ethereum in terms of coinmarketcap. If Bitcoins price does not accelerate and XRP moves to 3 to 4 dollars or surpass its all time high then probably it will suprass bitcoin. We just have to wait and see.

Everyone tries to move Bitcoin each time. So that a new crypto currency will rise to the throne, which will eclipse Bitcoin. At first it was Ripple's Ether. I can say so, do not rush! Just work and develop. And time will tell.

I guess i really dont know about that until you pointed it out. if I recall correctly back then it's still called after ripple not XRP because it's just a ticker but now in CMC it's called XRP just like the ticker I guess your point does make a lot of sense |

Hm I still do not trust Ripple. It has the reputation to be a tool for the banks to infiltrate the crypto market. It is still a fact that Ripple not decentralized, no proof of work and no open access. That being said does not mean, Ripple as a project with listing all the big banks as customers cannot be a success. Ripple is not of interest for me. Other potential problems mentioned but do not quote me on that is the unregulated supply, meaning it can increase anytime and the missing utility of the token itself. DYOR |

I don't think so. Cox the BTC is the first cryptocurrency who control's the crypto market. It is the top rank of the crypto market and has increased the price very fast in day by day. It is a good involvement in the long term. |
