mintpal.com and cryptorush.io both vote coins into their exchanges. you may want to email their support and request that OctoCoin is added to the voting system. support@mintpal.comcryptorush.in does not have a support email but you can create a second account for support at: https://cryptorush.in/support/ some people sit around and complain when the only two exchanges are beta, or look kinda shoddy. be proactive at getting this coin added to some decent exchanges and before you know it cryptsy will pick it up. and you may as well and start voting on it at cryptsy. i have yet to see a request to add link being promoted.

sent octocoinpool (dot) tk pool operator a message about gaps about an hour long where coins do not show up even though dashboard registers me mining. Not sure if it's faster to contact here or through pool's email.

Honestly, this seems to happen on every pool.

Honestly, this seems to happen on every pool. With every coin. Every time. Does anyone remember pre-christmas when the R9's came out, and 280X's were flying off the shelves, and impossible to get. Took the price from $300 a card to $400 a card. All that added hashing power took even the best pools down. The added flow of coin, had Cryptsy at its knees. MCXNow shut down temporarily(I think rightfully so), because RS knew his infrastructure, mainly on the support side wasn't ready to cope with the huge influx. Almost no one was able to cope with the growth... These 888 pools had no time to test things... Thankfully the P2Pool's appear to be running flawlessly. freebtc.eu:8888 just keeps spitting coin at me. And all quirks aside, xnigma.com is not a horrifying place to have start getting the 888 moving around. The sysops are actually quite present, and willing to listen to their userbase. Right now all coins are alpha. Even the Alpha(Bitcoin) is alpha. 888 Seems on par, with other coins being released in this day and age.

It's really the safest way to mine any new coin. I'm on freebtc.eu:8000 right now.. But 888.qemulab.com:8888 seems to have some good hashing going on too. The full list is here: http://octoscanner.qemulab.com

octocoinpool (dot) tk* was down, seems to be coming back online
They just worked on the pool a few minutes Yeah, we moved the wallet to a different server connected via VPN, to avoid any more "payout abyss" issues. All botched payouts have been manually corrected and I haven't seen any more issues since we changed things around. So, the pool at http://octocoinpool (dot) tk is running awesomely now. I would have announced this earlier but I ended up very late for work because of DST change, lol.

Either way PM me here or use the contact form.. If I do not respond right away I am either at work or sleeping, but responding is my FIRST priority when I check my email box! Your payout should be in your wallet.

You sir, are a really good pool operator, and as soon as I will have my ne rig, be sure i'll be donating (: That is very much appreciated. I'm really trying to run the best pool I possibly can! It's definitely not easy doing it by yourself but I will always do my best to make sure everyone gets what they earned. I really appreciate any donations I could get right now. I've got one eye on the server at all times at the moment, as I'm trying to make up for an orphaned block that paid out anyway. Anyone else reading that mines my pool, if you would just be so kind as to not all withdraw at once, I would appreciate it. It's slow going at 0.5% fee making up for the orphaned block we paid out. I don't think it's urgent enough to shut off withdrawals completely but if the wallet is drained to the limit it will shut off automatically until the situation corrects itself. I am grateful for everyone who was patient and stuck with the pool and gave me a chance to fix the missing payout situation. The craziness and DDoS situation has pretty much died off so I'm hoping we will have smooth sailing and many blocks for our future!
