Make that 15 .. can't mine anymore  Devs, what's wrong, the network is having some sort of trouble - no confirmations for a few hours now, blockchain seems to be stuck? Pools are dying fast ... Is Octo dead? Forked? Bugged?? yeah, i cant understand, if you aren't a complete cryptonewbie you know that the devs have to stay in contact with miners etc. And if its only 1 time per day, looking if everything works well for 5 minutes is a must. I'm holding a good amount of octo and i want to be updated to know whats up. I really thought this was an good investment but if there wont be any reaction from the devs i don't have a good feeling anymore. |

Yeah I hope whatever it is can be worked out. This doesn't look good at all. And it took a lot of effort to get where we are. I hope it wasn't wasted effort.
I'm sure the devs will have to chime in soon. Maybe they are aware of the issue already?

I don't think there's any disrespect. I have enjoyed the devs so far and agree it has been a smooth launch. However, there needs to be some response in times like this to reassure the miners and community of the coin. I know there have been 2 posts with wallet issues that did not appear to be related to the exchanges. It was an issue with confirmations. Now you have miners dropping like flies from pools, including fusion hash. There definitely needs to be a response from the devs. For now I'm assuming they are looking into the issue and will post when they have something to say and any fixes for the issues. For now i'll keep voting for mintpal as that's what's needed in order for me to recoup from the time i've mined this coin. edit: punctuation and spelling  |

Ok, well the blockchain had to be rescanned.. Everything is back in the green and we are on block 17227, so I hope that's the right one.

That looks right to me, I have 17228 at the time of this post. |

Cannot do shit. I've checked over everything. Even tweaked some security features and rebooted, reset everything. Nothing! |

Yeah, it looks like they were hitting nodes too. Hitting the RPC ports of anyone who was dumb enough to allow outside traffic, hitting stratum servers, but interestingly enough, they know it's pointless to DDoS web frontends, because mining goes on without it. They hit us right in the no-no spot, this is definitely a concerted effort. Probably just for fun. |

I'll do everything I can to keep it running smoothly. God I was pissed when I got home and saw 0 miners and chaos. There's gotta be a way to scrub stratum traffic, something like cloudflare, but I don't think that cloudflare works with stratum TCP traffic. |

Also, funnily enough, it doesn't take much traffic at ALL to overload stratum. I think just opening enough connection requests to fill it up does the job perfectly. I checked bandwidth graphs and I can see exactly when it started, only about .05mbps traffic though. I'm still not clear on how that disconnects already connected miners, though. Much to learn I still have.
