hempcoin.conf in %appdata%

rpcuser=hemp
rpcpassword=pass
gen=0
server=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=1255

Please, for your own good, don't use wildcard in "rpcallowip". You are allowing EVERYONE from internet and local network to connect to your RPC. Someone could easily stole all your THC. Better practice is to write IPs of machines you want to allow to connect. If you are only mining locally, you don't need to use "rpcallowip" at all.

Also, using gen=0 is pointless, because that's default.

just put the wildcart there for entering the ip, that was a mistake.
Reconnected to my wallet with cgminer and that works fine, but no go with bfgminer

And even in low times like this, when most coins have low volume and price, THC is standing and we are 6th most exchanged coin on C-CEX!

Does anyone have this miner? I am thinking of getting it. It would suck so bad if it didn't work with hempcoin.

http://zoomhash.com/collections/asics/products/44mhs-scrypt-asic-miner-1000w-delivery-within-10-days-or-it-is-free#_a_100

Does anyone have inside info on new miners coming out?

I think I rented that ASIC once and mined on pool without problems, but I'm sure someone here will have more experience.

Hemp and marijuana are the same species, Cannabis sativa, but hemp has a negligible amount of THC

Maybe we really should change ticker from THC to HEMP Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

+1 for HEMP.

I like HEMP way better. THC the hemp coin can still be used for for marketing purposes to attract a different target audience. This is a smart move. In comparison with THC, HEMP has substantially larger appeal throughout the world among people that have never done drugs.

Yeah HEMP should be used. Seeing as Hempcoin has kind of missed the boat with the recreational/medicinal cannabis (not fully but others are making good progress) it should be refocused to an even more niche market, non-psychoactive hemp medicine and products.

Get farmers, rope, clothing, beauty product, etc makers on-board rather than dispensaries and growers. "Bitcoin for mother nature" type deal.

Also if you change the ticker hire a designer to rework the look of the coin and wallet. I'm leaving for vacation for a bit then straight to work and school when I return so I won't have the time to help more than one coin.

I think changing the symbol would completely tarnish the coin. It would totally confuse folks and ruin the value of the coin. Just our thoughts.

I really want a switch to HEMP before another coin uses it. When hempcoin gets popular it will be super confusing to also have a coin called HEMP made by someone else. The thing is I also like THC. I want this coin to reserve both of them for it's use. What reason do you have to not switch the name to HEMP? Do you not think HEMP has more mass appeal than THC?

The page is also bad for the THC name. It actually predates this thread.

I told someone about THC and they wrote back to me saying THC is a virus.

Switching the name could also create some media attention.

No that link was definitely a virus, look at the top. Edited by a mod to say it was a virus.
That's not the right THC so the worry is about them tainting this THC.

It is my fault, we switched over to the new website which is on a different server so the location of the wallet had changed. I updated it but there may be some missing links still. Polishing the new website today.
