tell bit1 the Heavy ain't dead https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1310325.new#new1. has nodes 2. connected to XRP market <<< value there as XRP sidechain 3. mature 'older' coin, early 2014 launch 4. antiASIC anyone can mine 5. rock bottom priced 6. listed on Cryptsy (for what's that worth?) all depends on last point ... HVC maybe dies if bigVern absconds plus added value listed on Coinmarketcap and Cryptsy http://heavyco.in/ (nice open source repo) ... this is a nice touch and several pools are open

It's nice to see some activity here again. Tried downloading the wallet and was only able to get it via a link shared earlier: https://mega.nz/#!tMEiTSwL!y39xLaZQr0Dr-G-O7lLCumxKW_xokgEbrIIslYnOyCo I was only able to find one working node: addnode=192.99.32.136:7203 The block explorer at Multifaucet shows the network is still relativily active: http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=HVC&chartsThe amount of nodes and the missing dev is an issue, but I guess we can fix that by buying a couple of nodes via bitnodes, so the network does not go down once this single node stops. Who would be willing to pitch in to cover the costs of a block explorer and three working nodes? https://bitnodes.net/service/coin-live/Anybody able to change the open source site? I think it is possible, right?

However you succesful could will be reflected in the charts I guess. We will see. At the end I think your classification for HVC is fair, it would be shame to declare it dead after 2 years working and all basic functions of coin working, on the other hand it's not like HVC is in top 10 coins development and user adoption considered. As shown in numerous examples of coins, creation of altcoin may (or may not) require significant amount of work (or copying) but after releasing a coin, there is much greater work in maintaining coin function and popularisation - wide adoption. At the end of extended evaluation year, this coin will be 3 years old, a lot of positive things can happen ( bitcoin as bright and only example exploded in positive way), but remaining on this level of adoption could be considered as fail. Since we can basically say that dev is gone after not replying in thread for over a year, we need another person or group to take leading role in development and maintaining of this coin. Since Satoshi created his white paper, there have not been many examples of altruism in crypto world. To conclude, no one other than coin holder or someone paid by them (us) would ever have interest in continuing development of this coin, if someone have lets say 10% of coins he can not expect someone else to take leading role.

Not at the moment, I think. We could try to get it on Cryptopia by buying a spot for 2 million DOT, which costs about 0.3-0.5 btc at the moment. Next to this, I think it would be smart to get 3 extra nodes and a block explorer for $99 at bitnodes. I am willing to put 20% of this in so 400.000 DOT and $20. Anybody else willing to join in?

Cryptopia refused because ICO, but I am willing to try them again, we need direct line of assurance first, but I can do 250K DOT that would get us in the 2M DOTs immediate listing line, and management of crytopia would have to come to appreciate Heavy before we throw in. I like blue, alcurex, coingather, alt.market even CCex as other possible exchanges. ------ $10 for bitnodes let's get that done ASAP PM me if i forgets

Great to have another supporter! I will already ask Yobit and Bleutrade to add heavycoin. Cryptopia might be hard due to the IPO, so let's keep that one for later. Right now we have $30 of the necessary $99 for the nodes, although we can already start with one node for $50. Anybody else willing to target some other exchanges?
