Looks like HVC was added! Nice work Mumbly! Gave out my first tip too!

Thanks man! I wanted it so bad I could taste it Smiley It was a group effort of course to get us accepted so the credit lies with the community - let's all give each other a collective high-five Smiley

Lost and forgotten ) ? I see some good news but no trace of passion...

I can see where you are coming from man, and thanks for not being troll-ish in asking this question.

I've had to travel for work a bunch over the last few weeks so while I'm trying to keep momentum building I've had a number of days where I've had to be offline which doesn't help.

The passion is here man, outside of my IRL distractions it seems like building awareness of this coin cycles between hanging out and talking with all of the good folks on this forum and having to work behind the scenes to get the next lot of projects up and running.

I don't like saying "something big is about to happen" type of pump and dump sounding nonsense so I don't really talk about the projects that are in the works, but let's take a bit of a state of affairs to give everyone some insight in to what we are working on.

Please just be aware that anything not already done and shared with everyone is still in the *may not happen* phase.

Twitter
- we are almost at 700 followers (so we've added almost 200 followers in the last 6 weeks)

-  Erik Voorhees just followed our main account @Heavycoinnews on Twitter. This of course is not an endorsement from him, but he is someone I personally have a lot of respect for - it's awesome if he is paying some kind of attention to this coin.

- We currently have a 10,000HVC giveaway happening on the Twitter feed right now (open for about another 24 hours) - to enter check out this tweet: https://twitter.com/HeavycoinNews/status/483967415617744896

Retweet it and reply to enter

Facebook
- As mentioned above, we are now live and tipping on Facebook!

- Our official tipping group has about 60 members so far: https://www.facebook.com/groups/795663623778014/

- To join in:
     - add the app: https://apps.facebook.com/wpmultitipping
     - you can tip from any approved group, but come join the Heavycoin tipping group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/795663623778014/

- I'll be trying to get a conversation started there in the next few days to give people a reason to tip

- Official Heavycoin Facebook page - it needs some love, I'm going to be sending more time with it when I get a chance

Gaming sites
- We are up and in beta with http://satoshiroulette.com/?mode=HVC

- We need to spend some time getting a windows installer up and running before this can be taken out of beta

- I am lining up testers to play around with the site and start playing with some HVC

International HVC
- 51_BTC and I have been working out the details for promoting Heavycoin on their platform, we should have this up and running in the next few days

- Good people and a great opportunity for Heavycoin, this is probably the most exciting development going on right now.

Reddit
- We have a small but active community happening on Reddit - there was a problem reported earlier in the week and the community jumped on it and solved the problem before I even found the post - go HVC community!

Block Explorers
- We need everyone's help here - http://hvc.42tx.com/ has been doing a great job but needs our help to cover increased server costs.

- I'm lining up my donation, if anyone has a few spare coins to flip their way please do so - expect me to bug you all about this in the coming weeks Smiley

Coin Devs
- I'm speaking with Keccak daily and the guys are doing so well making sure the coin is stable

- They are exploring ideas about new features to add to Heavycoin - I have to be vague here as the guys need time to throw around ideas and consider how long implementation would take before it's sensible to announce it to the group.

- the news here is that the code base is super solid and working exactly as we would like, now it's time to talk about adding to the system rather than making sure it works - ideas welcome!

I'm sure this is more then enough of a brain dump for tonight.

The take away is:

- win 10,000HVC on Twitter RIGHT NOW

- come join us on Facebook

- The Heavycoin world moves a little slower then most altcoins because stability is the primary objective. I can't wait to share the new features the devs are going to be working on once we commit to building them.

Have a good one guys, it's good to be back.

Cheers,
M

Hey,

I've been gone for holidays and I'm surprised: so many good news, still, the price dropped a lot Sad
Anyone good at economics could help me understand?

Please don't come with the trollish explanation "dead coin", thanks.

Hey folks,

@NeuroticFish - I've been wondering the same thing, seems like someone pulled out a bunch of money at a very low price.

I guess without knowing their circumstances it's hard to presume, I feel like we're still on a slow but steady rise in positive news but I guess who knows their motivation. I'd be curious if anyone wanted to suggest a scenario also.

The only thing I wanted to share with everyone tonight is an invitation to donate a few coins to http://hvc.42tx.com/

They are providing a great block chain explorer and could use the community's help to cover their increasing server costs.

It seems like their costs aren't increasing greatly, but enough that they could use community support to keep this service free for us - if you could throw a few dollars their way I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Have a great weekend all.

Cheers,
M

I think the development team need to:

4. Develop an Android wallet.

I could look into making an Android Wallet.  The main challenge is getting a Java version of the Hefty1 hash code.

The price drop is pure manipulation by someone that hold 10+% of HVC and plan to short it.... simple as that

Hey man - thanks very much.

The offer of HVC is awesome and much appreciated, but as an alternative:

Here's the address for the Heavycoin charity fund that I control: HQ6dg6RJr95SMgYpjZmrNPU9cx1kdC1Yku

Donations there are very welcome Smiley

This fund will be released to charities as a "hell yeah, we did it!" style celebration if/when 1HVC >= $1USD

I think it's important that the community decides on the charities that would receive these coins - feel free to post a suggestion for a charity we should include (spread evenly between max 10 charities to keep things simple).

My suggestion is obvious for a crypto charity, I pick Sean's Outpost.

The current fund is 100% under my control, so not exactly as decentralised as it really should be - in lieu of donating funds, feel free to make a pledge here for XXX coins and hold on to them yourself until it starts looking like a reality.

Cheers,
M

Hey folks,

First - thanks to the person who donated to the charity fund - very much appreciated, and a great sign that the community is open to this project.

To remind everyone - you can send donations to the HVC charity fund here: HQ6dg6RJr95SMgYpjZmrNPU9cx1kdC1Yku
(see warning about being controlled by one person etc further up the page)

I would like to try something - I will personally match the donation received today and the next five donations for this fund.

They can either be direct donations to the address above or a pledge posted here (if you pledge, give me a chance to make sure you're serious).

What do you think guys? Anyone else open to adding a few coins to this project?

On the other side - what other charities would you like to see receive these coins? To my mind, any charity that's legit is open for consideration.

Cheers,
M

Does this(hvc.42tx.com) explorer work? I think it's broken.

Why I don't see coins in that address that I sent from mintpal?

I tried to search with TX ID it says "invalid query. valid search queries are: block height, block hash, transaction hash or address. "

In heavychain.info I see it.

Here is a Transaction ID.
94cf30c5903a1b4809534f485ced63c7ede2cbc5af9d278d0d0e63842d6dc38d

Edit:  Besides in heavychain.info it says current block  is 69396, but in hvc.42tx.com it's 87936

It should work, but has been known to miss blocks in the past.  I have contact info somewhere from when this happened before, so I'll send them a PM.

Looks like that part of heavychain.info is stuck - the timestamp for its 'current block' is for Fri Jun 13.  Maybe the server got smacked by superstition Smiley  When you look up your transaction and subsequently the block hash, you get to block 87,121 - which heavychain.info does show, so it might be just the front page.

Oh, by the way:

The results we’ve seen on the GTX 750 Ti are pretty interesting; it seems that the most power efficient algorithms are Fugue256 and HEFTY1 with the new Fresh algorithm following close by with the same power usage as Qubit. The worst performing crypto algorithms on GTX 750 Ti are the Groestl-based ones and the X-ones are pretty much in the middle.

Works for me.

Hi.
It was me that sent 2k HVC to that address.
Feel free to donate to whatever charity you would like. Smiley

P.S. I like your positive thinking, and work that you are doing for Heavycoin. Keep it up!

Good luck!

Good work Mumbly!

[Donation sent]

Nice work guys - you are both gentlemen of the highest order in my book Smiley Thanks for taking part.

This leaves four more donations or pledges I'm ready to match for the HVC charity fund - come on folks, let's take away all of mumbly's coins Smiley

Some exciting news for tonight - 51BTC will be launching a new HVC promotion in about two hours: https://www.51btc.com/huodong/hvc

I believe this is the first major promotion for Heavycoin in the Chinese market - well done to 51BTC and thanks to you for supporting HVC.

The next ten days should be pretty interesting...

Cheers,
M

Did I miss @HeavycoinNews tweeting about this?   Undecided

Argh! I dropped the ball on this! will be posted on @HeavycoinNews tonight - thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers,
