PS Thought of another variation. Put up xxx prize money.
Let contest run for up to X days.
Give clues just like you did previously (one per day).
At the end of every day check for a winner and if there are any the contest is closed. Everyone who got the answer correct gets a share except the the first correct answer which gets a double share.
Next day announce winner(s) and start a new contest.

I know it's only a bit of fun, but somebody who got a special mention and a payout for getting it correct on his 2nd guess does not seem right to me!
There was some confusion around his first guess, and if I took his second guess rather then the first he would have ended up pretty high on the leader boards. But, yeah, I think you're right, in retrospect it's not really fair to the other four. SO YOU GET A MUMBLY CAN'T RUN A COMPETITION PROPERLY BONUS!!! The ideas behind Heavycoin are interesting and new, unfortunately the developers seem to be.... developers. Meaning not enough socia skills. There are too many coins and community is harder to grow than just creating it. But there are steps done towards marketing and growing the community, so the hope is not lost. |
