Thank you so much bitmaster1x  Wink
I appreciate your post  Smiley

bitmaster1x is for example, one of the customers i talk a LOT via PM messages.
He gives me a lot of suggestions, some simple and some complex, but always kindly.

In CAT 4.3 version for example there will be 3 improvements asked by him :
- One about save/restore market
- One about save/restore orders
- One about an improvements in market limit GUI inser/edit/delete rules.

 Smiley

Is it possible to implement some kind of cross-exchange price reference eg NEVER BUY OVER Poloniex ASK?

With Current CAT system (i mean software architecture) no.
1 Frame = 1 Exchange = 1 API Set.

Can your bot create new ping X% lower then the previous one, thus covering declining market?

Yes  Wink
I was trying to play with this and ...
I can't really figure out how. I want to make each consistent buy-ping 3% lower then the previous one. And sell-pong on the best market price. How can this be done? I see nothing like that.
Thanks in advance.

You can do this way
From the order creator Panel go to the Dynamic Parameter attributes.
Here you can find a Tab called "Ping Price Limit"
There's an editor that will allows to create you any combination of price limit.

In your CASE you can set
Never Buy Over Your Last Ping Buy Price -X% (where X could be 5)
+
Never Buy Over Your Last Ping Sell Price -X% (where X could be 5)

After you configure the rule you must press the ADD button and you will see that rule added to a List.

After you add all your rules don't forget to press the UPDATE PARAMETER button (on top of parameters panel).

In the next release (4.3) that will be released soon, this panel will be easier to manage  Wink

Thanks Sampey, works nice.

I don't know about other people, I have bought it about a week ago. Playing low so far, trying to tune it up with 0.01 or so in one go. I must say though, I'm at about 20% roi so far. Nice bot man, please keep working on it.

I know this has been asked time and time again, but does anyone have any good advice to make this profitable at all?
I'd be willing to pay if anyone has any winning strategies even a months retainer or something.

I'm just at a loss and not sure how to get the best out of it.

You must consider that fact that you only have a Cryptsy Api, so you are not using CAT (At least) from version 3.7 (when i remove Cryptsy API after Cryptsy closure), probably more than 1 year.
From CAT 3.7 and Currenc CAT 4.2 (C.A.T. 4.3 is behind the door) i've added a lot of parameters so you could probably be able to add more dynamism to your strategy.

Hey!  Cheesy
I wanted to say hi Sampey and wanted to add my experience as i saw some arguing about CAT's efficiency-

I bought CAT some months ago and if you ask me if i'm earning or loosing i would say: i am earning when i do the right things and i loose when i dont lol...
I meant: it is not CAT making me do wise moves on markets and it is not CAT guilty for my losses: it is ME (My Experience, My Efforts....etc) lol

I heard someone wanting to trade using candlesticks patterns? Yes you can do that: wait for the pattern to show up on your screen and give PING order to CAT. CAT will do its job very well and at the end of the PING-PONG cicle, CAT will give you a MATHEMATICAL GAIN.

By all meanings...double read this: at the end of the PING-PONG cicle, CAT will give you a MATHEMATICAL GAIN.

Read again....if you understood this you are right: IF market circumstances made the PING-PONG cicle to happen, you would mathematically gain.

If you understood this you are wrong: everytime i start a PING, a PONG will happen and i will gain.

Why that? For the following possible reasons:
1.- you are trading at loss because you didnt take in consideration the exchange fees: try to increase the min %GAIN (if you are in dynamic mode)
2.- PONG didnt happen because markets didnt follow your idea: BE PATIENT and wait for markets to go back where you planned, and a PONG will occurr.
3.- A lot of other reasons that would happen even without CAT (wrong patterns, markets crashes, side moving etc)

Some more tips:
1.- MATHEMATICAL GAIN isnt positive if you dont consider fees: CAT is not able to calculate fees but it knows fees AFTER a trade occurred. So have a look at Total %Gain in the GAINS tab and see if there are positive or negative numbers and eventually adjust your minimum %Gain in the PING-PONG dynamic orders tab.
2.- I would suggest you to not stop/cancel orders manually only because the PONG values are far to happen, unless you are facing up a very bearish market and you didnt set a limit to your losses. You have CAT now and if your considerations and calculations were right, just wait for your PONG to happen: it will soon or later, giving you a gain.
3.- ALWAYS apply the rule of thumb: NEVER invest more than what you can afford to loose.

CAT is not a magic wand, it is a tool for automatic trading cryptocurrencies: if you dont know how to trade cryptocurrencies, CAT will follow you...

Sampey, I had to restore some orders and wondered about the "All" buttons on top of the dialog:

That could be really helpful but unfortunately they aren't working. Could you please check?
Maybe I simply don't know how to use them correctly, when I click on it, nothing happens.

With the ALL Button you will change the TYPE of Order (Sell Buy) Or The static/dynamic type.

They doesn't works? If you press ALL STATIC and then ALL DYNAMIC does every single combobox changes?

Ah, now I've got it:
you don't select the current orders with the buttons. You have to multi-select the orders you want to change in the list and then you can adjust settings of all orders selected with the "All" buttons. Thanks!

Sending CAT 4.3

New Price List

Hey Sampey. Been a while since I've used Cat. Got a backlog of PM's lol.

Anyway, other than the "free" ones could you by chance tell me what "paid" API's I currently have on my "account" ?

It's been that long lol

Ty.

Edit: I think it's just Trex but am not too sure.

To be decided...

Thanks for the new version, Sampey! I will try it over the weekend.

I have a strange issue with BTC/USDT trading pair on poloniex. C.A.T. tells me that I have negative gains (loss) but poloniex analyzer tells me that I have positive gains (profit). Could it be that you calculate the gains against BTC and poloniex calculates against USDT?

Could you send me a Screenshot or a Gains Log?

On Poloniex, Fees are calculate on Qty or Total depending by the Trade Type. So i need to perform a math calculation to "normalize" fees and show them always as "Fees Over Total Value".

I fixed a problem over fees in the latest version, so i need to take a look at your problem.

So first question is : is this problem over 4.3 Version?

Ok, probably your problem is fixed in 4.3  Grin Grin Grin

Sampey, I've tested 4.3 and it's working great!  Smiley

The USDT trades gain now have the correct sign, but gain still doesn't match up with the analyzer on poloniex. Maybe you could have a look at it:

Do you see that C.A.T. says 0.13073958 USDT gain and Polo says 0.00000470 USDT gain. Where's the difference?

IMHO you have the fee base currency wrong. Polo has the sell fee in USDT and the buy fee in BTC. Please check.

My fee are converted into BTC Value even if is sell or buy.
The difference is that if order type is

- Sell
Fees are calculated this way : %FEE (0.15/0.25 depending on maker/taker type) of Total (Qty x Price) value

- Buy
Fees are calculated this way : %FEE (0.15/0.25 depending on maker/taker type) of Qty X Price

So result is always expressed as % FEE Over Qty X Price.

Sure, but you said that you gather the fee amount from the trade data. If I compare the fee amounts of C.A.T. and Polo, they are different. Maybe Polo gives you the fees in a different currency as you think!  Wink
