I agree with your point of view, we can make a profit when buying Altcoin with usdt and if you buy them with a pair of BTC may not be profitable. Bitcoin price increases every day so Altcoin's rate on Bitcoin decreases every day. So do not use Bitcoin to buy Altcoin because it will reduce the rate of return you get.

Yesterday was the really good day to shop for alts. Today almost every altcoin is up by more than 5%. A sure shot profit in a day. With even a 1% decline in btc price, alts get hit more badly and when price start raising again, alts usually make a come back again again with the same intensity. Alts have been over hovering over quite a low price for a long time now. It is definitely a good time to make investment in a few good projects.

Buying altcoins are a good idea, not only will you have more opportunities but to take advantage on what altcoin is good to buy at the moment since no altcoin has been that consistent yet, some altcoins will stay for a month or a year but there are always other coins that will take over, ETH on the other hand showed some consistency and I think that is one of the best altcoin that I think will be staying for a while, an altcoin that is worth to buy for.
