Not really, everything is connected with politics. Feel good that Sharfaraz is able to play in Ranji tournament. Think of Pujara, what he did bad. In most of the important matches his performance is really awesome and helped India overcome situations and win the trophy. He's out of the squad and Shubman Gill have tweeted for a comeback same as Rahane, maybe that's common but I felt bad for this. Every player was bad at the WTC and what's the reason he's out of the tournament when players like Rohit were given opportunity. This is how cricket happens in India. When Dhoni is the captain he used to select and he stands never to disturb the squad, now that isn't possible.

I had pointed this out in another thread. Sarfaraz has never played first class matches for any team other than Mumbai. So his only experience is playing domestic cricket in India. Unlike some of the other cricketers like Pujara, he hasn't tried his luck with county cricket. So the selectors are not sure how he will fare against top international bowlers. And one of the main concerns regarding Sarfaraz has been his fitness. The message was conveyed to him sometime back, but he simply refused to work on this issue. Also, his aggressive behavior on and off the field has been termed as another reason why he is not in the Indian squad.

Does anyone follow the T20 blast series conducted in England. In the T20 match played between Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire Shaheen Afridi have made a record taking four wickets in the first over of the match. Nottinghamshire scored 168 runs batting first. Warwickshire lost four wickets in the very first over, but the team managed to win the match by 2 wickets and 5 balls left. More T20 leagues have been taking place while a few are popularly followed by cricket fans. Surprised to see 18 teams involved in the league. The grouping is done South and North which is also better way for high competence.

Furthermore England team can take lots of positive from this match and further work on improving their performances because if they slightly improve more then they can definitely beat Australia in the next match.

You are right, England women will have to prepare hard to win the match against Australia women in the next match. I would say that the England women's team did not play badly at all. England Women's last order batting performance could have done a bit better. Then England women's score would have been slightly higher. England Women's team could have given Australia Women's team a target of 170 runs. Then England women team could have won this match against Australia women team. Hope England women team can win against Australia women in next match

It is nice to see Tamil Nadu Premier League getting bigger and bigger with each passing season. It was first played in 2016, and this season is the 7th. In terms of revenues they are quite strong (as a result of the media rights deal with Star India and due to support from local sponsors). Other local leagues in India such as the Karnataka Premier League and the Maharashtra Premier League have struggled to stay afloat. If they allow 1-2 foreign players per team, then the revenues can be increased and there will be much more interest from the global audiences.

Looks like Ashwin and Karthik are about to retire soon from the T-20 format considering their age and their bad performances in this particular format in recent years. Am surprised that they didn't retire sooner.

Their international white ball career finished already so no surprise move from the BCCI. Although these 2 guys can still play the IPL for a couple of more years.

Ashwin in particular didn't look bad in his previous IPL gig and did a fine job in the last season. Every Indian player suffers from this "Not announcing retirement" problem because of brand value.

TNPL is quite popular now, at least in Tamil Nadu. The viewership numbers are quite good and it is reported that Star Sports is making good revenue from the sale of advertisement slots. And they have managed to bring some of the star players this season. One example is Ravichandran Ashwin representing Dindigul Dragons. Most of the franchises are reported to be in profit. But then, the BCCI has imposed a lot of restrictions on local leagues. Not only foreign players, but also players registered to other state associations can't participate in such leagues. And this reduces the popularity of the league outside it's home state.

The second T20 match of the series is being played between England Women and Australia Women. It seems that England's women's team will win today's match like the first match. England women's team has given a huge target of 187 runs. Danni Wyatt was able to play an excellent innings of 76 runs. Batting with a huge target of 187 runs, the Australian team started well. But they cannot maintain consistency. After losing the first wicket for 59 runs, Australia lost 5 wickets to collect 96 runs. Australia now needs 86 runs from 42 balls to win. I don't think Australia will win this match anymore.

I thought the Australian women's team would lose by a big margin. Because the team was losing wickets very quickly. But Ellyse Perry batted well. He was able to play an excellent innings of 51 runs in just 27 balls. However, Australia lost the match by just 3 runs. With Ellyse Perry, if one more batsman would have been able to bat responsibly, Australia might have been able to win the match. Australian women's team lost the first two matches of the series.

Let them enjoy the perils of the gig as long as they want, once you are retired they cannot make a comeback in sports, they will certainly miss the routine they were following for decades and the money a sports person could make is for a limited time frame, so let them enjoy till they are sacked  .

These leagues can act as feeders for the IPL franchises. If I am not wrong, players like Shahrukh Khan and Natarajan first rose to prominence due to their performance in the TNPL. However, a few things can be considered to make these league more exciting and popular. Leagues such as TNPL are owned by the state cricket associations (such as the TNCA). The ownership can be transferred to the IPL Franchise (Chennai Super Kings), which would eradicate concerns from the franchises that smaller leagues are eating in to their revenue. Also, currently players from other states and countries are not allowed. A limited number of such players can be allowed in each team, to make it more exciting.

Did you watch the first match of the T20 series? The first match of the t-20 series was won by Australia women's team. Due to the poor performance of England Women's team, England Women's team lost by 4 wickets against Australia Women's team. Although the women's team did not do well in England in the first match. England women's team returned to form in the second t-20 match. But in the second t-20 match both the teams played very well. Both teams fought hard in this match. In this match, England Women's team won against Australia Women's team to equalize the t20 series. Now the team that wins the next match will win the series
