I did not saw the post game coverage but I saw a few reels on it. I did see a reel where Depak Chahar wanted MSD to autograph on his CSK shirt as a souvenir. Dhoni bluntly said no with hand gesture. The reason was he dropped the catch. Later he did give him his autograph but it took some time. Getting autograph of MSD on the shirt or t-shirt has become a ritual in the IPL after Sunil Gavaskar did it after the first playoff match I guess. No doubt the MSD is a legend but Sunila Gavaskar is a veteran amoung the legends. If he is asking MSD to sign his shirt then there would be a reason behind it.

But the main fact is that it is not possible for everyone to get a place in the Indian national team. Some of them must be out of the national team. Getting a place in India team is not an easy as the number of good cricketers are very high. But if a match could be conducted where a T20 match could be played with freshers in each session then it could be a good strategy to find the best player. We can say without any doubt that Indian cricket is going to be more stronger in the up coming days.

Gujarat titans were exceptional throughout the ipl they could have won but last 2 balls turned the game around and Chennai was almost saved by jadeja.

Yeah, he had a terrible season but he's just 28-ish yo and his gameplay suits the T-20 format, with limited opportunities in international matches he performed quite well.

Also in international, his focus is on T-20s only so I won't rule him out just yet. 1 good season and he would be back on management's radar.

The worst batter on my list is Prithvi Shaw. He and Shubhman Gill were part of the same squad that played and won the U-19 World Cup in 2018. Look where Shubhman Gill is now and where he is now. In IPL 2023 he played in total 8 matches with a SR of 124. He was dropped by DC after his disastrous batting in the first 6 matches. He got to play the last two out of which in one match he scored a 50. Whereas Shubhman Gill scored 3 centuries and was in great form.

It was hard to trust him with anything especially when he is in such a bad run of form. That's why I believe he did not get a chance with the ball in this season's IPL. I also absolutely agree that if the Indian selectors do look at his statistics in the IPL he is not going to be the first choice for them for sure. But I don't think India has anything to worry about because they always have players waiting for a chance in case someone does not perform well.

There is no doubt that the captaincy of MS Dhoni is a big reason for CSK to be able to win the IPL trophy. In the last match, a lot of people did question that a little. Because after all 215 is not a small target to chase. But even after that CSK did really well to get to the reduced target which was given through the Duckworth-Lewis method. On paper, CSK had no chance. But they overcame all the obstacles.

We can't blame Mohit Sharma as he conceded just three runs off the first four balls of the last over but the last two balls changed the outcome of the game.
