Moeen Ali is dismissal only for 0. Chennai's batting looks weak from the start of the match. In previous matches, their batsmen have been aggressive from the start of the match. But in today's match they are wasting a lot of balls. They collected only 30 runs in 6 overs. They lost 2 wickets of Moeen Ali and Raturaj Gaikwat. I don't think they will be able to collect more than 150 if Du Plessis is out.

Eventually made a total of 134/6, thanks to some big hitting from Faf du Plessis towards the end. Punjab once again threw away a match that was firmly in their control for most of the time. Apart from Faf, none of the other CSK batsmen made a score of more than 20. Now it is going to be tough for the Punjab Kings, given the fact that they have a very brittle middle order. If KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal can get them to a good score by the end of first powerplay, then they will have a chance. Else Punjab will be out of this year's IPL.

Punjab has proven themselves. As you expected, KL Rahul has scored 98* from 42 balls which supported the team to win the match by 13th over keeping 42 balls left in hand. Seriously an amazing innings from PBKS to move to 5th place in the table. However it really disappointed the CSK lovers to see consecutive 3rd loss in the event though its in on the top of the table. Play offs is getting closure but CSK should again come back to the form and play well.

Today's match was another surprise, i thought RCB would win the match easily but SRH played really well to restrict RCB and end up on a positive note even thought they had the worst team this season.

Just three wins in 13 matches and half of the squad just there to make up the numbers. I was not surprised by the poor performance from the SRH. It is just unbelievable that a team which has players like Warner, Williamson, Rashid, Holder, Saha and Bhuvneshwar can perform so badly. Hopefully they will get a complete revamp in 2022 and get better. What they need in an urgent basis is a couple of players who can score runs in the middle order. Saha scored runs while opening the innings, but he failed when batting down the order.

I some how felt RCB took the match for granted. I never expected them to lose from SRH. They are the worst team in this season of IPL. What a spoiler this match was for those who put their money on RCB.

Although SRH had a very bad season, but they have quality players. And even if some of those players perform ( which happened vs RCB ) and they won the match. It was a close match though, they won by only 4 runs. Jason Roy played a good knock of 44 from 38 balls and the bowlers were very economical. Umran,  Kaul, and Buhvi gave 21,24 and 25 runs in their respective 4 overs.  I feel like Padikkal wasted a lot of balls that came back to bite them in the later overs. Scoring only 42 of 52 balls is not very good.

Run chase by RCB was awful, they didn't know where to position their players in the batting order. Holder and Bhuvi emerge victorious against the RCB in a battle of nerves. Umran Malik bowling 150+ consistently was the highlight of the match, rushing the Australian on a consistent basis. Umran Malik deserves credit for bowling those tight and fast overs in the middle. They ruined Bangalore's party, and they lost this game by four runs.

It looks like Kolkata Knight Riders will be the final team to qualify and yet another pathetic performance by Rajasthan Royals as Kolkata Knight Riders needs one more wicket to wrap up the match and get qualified.

Punjab Kings played one hell of a game against Chennai Super Kings and the way in which KL Rahul batted was simply brilliant, striking at over 233 and winning the match in 13 overs and third straight loss for Chennai Super Kings and things are not looking for them during the final stages of the tournament.

After watching today's match now I can call without any doubt that Rajasthan Royals are Chokers of IPL as we have South Africa in cricket world. They have good and quality players, and they can do anything in any game, but sadly they fail in crucial games and now completely down and out with SRH and Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai sadly out as their NRR is very less than KKR.

Now, most chances these positions are not going to change these top 4 already in Play off, and we are going to have last 4 entertaining games coming in the last few days of this season.

What's a victory for Kolkata Knight Riders over Rajasthan Royale. Kolkata keep their challenges to play off. I think they would better if this squad would no change because mavi and sakib bowled well and shakib maiden wickets that's a record for bowlers.

MI keeps on including useless players such as Hardik in the XI. He is unable to bowl and his batting is not in top form. Rather than giving chances to some of the younger players, the Mumbai Indians persisted with him for the entire tournament. And then they wonder why their middle order batsmen are not scoring runs. This is another mystery. Why is this hard dick even in the Indian team for T20 world cup? There are so many promising youngsters who are fighting for a chance and the selectors went for a guy who is not 100% fit. To be honest, the selection of squad for the T20 World Cup disappointed me. They went for oldies like Ravichandran Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but ignored promising players like Shreyas Iyer and Devdutt Padickal. But the worst choice had to be that of Hardik Pandya. How did this guy managed to get in?

Hardik Pandya will not be able to bowl but he can still bat. Also if he does not bowl then Indian will be one bowler short in their squad. The could be reason for selection of the old experienced players like Ashwin as they can handle the pressure of the T20 world cup as compare to those who are relatively new like Iyer.

Kolkata is now in some better shape after arrival of Shakib as he is winning player with some good all round abilities his entry is also very lucky for them as now they are already in play off and now have good chance of qualifying for final even competition is very tough because now all four teams are in winning combination just CSK is lost their luck with 3 matches losing streak but predicting is still difficult because cricket is game of luck with any team can do better on their day.

All the matches are freely available on YouTube and I watched them for some time this week. Congrats to the PCB for making the high quality broadcast available for free. And also, I could see that a lot of senior players were taking part and the quality of matches were good. The new domestic setup (comprising of 6 regional teams) look much better when compared to the previous one (which was an amalgam of city based clubs and regional sides, along with some of the departmental teams like Habib Bank and PIA).

WC squad is likely to change before the WC as there is a provision of making change in the squad. Pandaya was selected because he is allrounder but he's not fit to bowl, in this case including him in the squad doesn't make sense, even selectors knows that. So wait for couple of more days, Pandaya is likely to get drop due to his fitness including Varun Chakravarthy, poor guy struggling with his knee injury.

Team selection depends on the slots like Openers + 1 down + Middle order batsmen + All rounder including bowler ( Seam-Spin). You can't fit top order batsman into middle order and vice versa.

Shreyas Iyer is back up middle order. Selectors already selected 2 new guys for the middle order SKY and Ishan Kishan. You need to drop one of em, if you want Iyer in the middle order.

Devdutt is Top order batter and competition is very tough for the openers (Gaikward, Mayank, Shaw, Gill etc). Just to give you example Selectors didn't even considered Dhawan and he's averaging 41 in this IPL season, Devdatt average as a openers is around 35 ish. Although i do think we need at least 1 back up opener in the squad atm we have none, Gaikward, Sikhar and Mayank are in good form with average of 44, 41 and 40 respectively.

I usually bet on IPL matches based on teams' previous performances but when you are nearing the end of league stage, what lesson I have learned is, staying away from betting must be a better option. Recently I bet on CSK against SRH as SRH was not doing well in this particular edition of IPL still SRH won the table topper which eventually got a loss in the end.

Today, I guess MI and DC might win but anything could happen on these matches as UAE pitches are behaving too ridiculous. Batting for first 7 to 10 overs seems too hard but later on pitches are seeming too batting friendly. Hence, toss is playing big role on deciding our betting profits in the end .

Rohit Sharma's collection is 18 off 12 balls. If the Mumbai Indians could have done such a performance a few more matches earlier, they would not have qualified to advance to the next round. Looking at the batting of Mumbai Indians, it seems to me that they are still trying to record the highest score in an innings this season. As far as I can remember, Chennai has scored the most runs in an innings this season, that was 220.

^^. I was not watching the match but looks like Mumbai Indians would create some kind of record because the way Ishan Kishan is batting it looks like he is auditioning for a place in the T20 squad  . Till now he scored 84 runs from 31 balls with a strike rate of 271 and he is not sparing any bowler.

In the other match Delhi Capitals also had a great start and i have no idea who will win between RCB and DC as both are strong teams but a win here will give them the advantage in the next round.
