Good work and good cricket from all teams my prediction about the final is New Zealand is going to have this title because they are in good shape still we will have a good match. What's your predictions, guys?

Before the tournament i thought India and England had a chance and then i thought Pakistan would reach the final. But what i see is that the team chasing will always win and that is how things have gone so far. So in the final even though i want to give New Zealand the chance of winning the tournament, i think the toss is important and i am betting on the team chasing  .

I am also having same feeling New Zealand lost ODI world cup in very wrong way, but good thing happen they won Test Championship now it's time for them having second title in this year as they are excellent and competitive team for years without any star player, all having good unit and very good fighters. Sunday is not more away from us, so let's watch how these two which have some very interesting sportive history now have this title race.
With all 2 strong contenders and one dark horse already out of competition, we have to well organized teams for just one year championship win as we have next world cup after 11 months in Australia.

Their team looks more balanced, while New Zealand is still struggling due to the absence of Lockie Ferguson and Kyle Jamieson. Adam Milne looks like the chink in the armor.

Just saw the current situation of the most talented team in the world who just choked in a knockout match after being Undefeated   .

First i never said that we are the most talented team, talent is only in the IPL  
Before the start of the tournament, no one would have thought that Pakistan could remain undefeated in the tournament and reach the semi-finals. Get the odds of their matches with India and New Zealand and you will find that we were not favorites to win but those heavy weights lost with a one sided match without giving a competitive fight.

Pakistan scored 175 which was the best score and you should consider that again we again batted superbly. Give any  team a score of 170+ at the start of a knockout and they will take it happily. We also bowled well but some of the bowlers were not in prime form. The match tilted balance many times and of course the Australians were also playing for a win.


It is often said by the losing team that one team has to win on a day but it is a matter of how you lose it. I don't know about my other country fellows but i am still very happy with my team performance as we lost the semi-finals by fighting it till the end.

Also, It's okay to support your team and criticize other teams on basis of their performance but demeaning a specific team especially a national team just because of political hatred your media feeds you against the Country is foolish, atleast on this forum,  hope you understand why is this called a discussion thread.

Again our media doesn't feed the hatred, the voices are raised from both sides of the border. I agree that  the sports should bring healthy competition with peace.  However the Time for war will come sure.

Let's just chill now and enjoy the final both of us.

Despite the performance of Matthew Wade, Australia wouldn't be in the T20 WorldCup final if Marcus Stoinis hadn't batted so well. Although 176 was good enough to compete, I still think the miss run outs caused Pakistan's loss, not the Hasan Ali drop catch.

Watching the entire match, no words can describe Stoinis and Wade's innings. This confident Aussies can now look forward to a maiden men's T20 WorldCup title!

What the hell just happened, Pakistan was in a strong position and a dropped catch from Hasan Ali cost them the match.

This is a wrong perception that we lost the match because Hassan Ali missed the catch. We cannot blame that a single catch lost the match. Australian also dropped few catches too and they still won it.

Instead of focusing of  "if and buts", it time to remember that it was a good competitive game of cricket and eventually one team showed better nerves and won the match.

Bad luck for hassan Ali, it was not his days. There were catches dropped by Aus too in the match but they went unnoticed since they won the match. Hassan Ali would feel heat of this drop catch for many days. It reminds me of rahat Ali dropping Watson at 6 in 2015 WC quarter final, it also costed Pakistan the match. Pakistan team should focus on not to drop catches in crucial games otherwise they will continue to lose games like that.

Australian really snatched the win from the Pakistan team. However this does not mean that they are the favorites and will easily win the final.
The New Zealand team is also in full swing and they won't let go this final. It will be an interesting clash between the two. Lets see if toss is a decider for the final too.

Well, what I can say is Ben Stokes predicted wrong. And I know for sure that the Australia New Zealand final is going to be just great. Both teams seem to be in great form But I think Australia might just win the final because they have better hard-hitting batsmen. And in t20 cricket this matters a lot especially in-depth overs.

It was suggested by many cricket experts that Hassan Ali may be given some rest in T20 WC, so he can regain his form but babar azam kept him in the team and kept playing with winning combination till Australia knock them out. Moral of the story is if a player is continuously not performing he must be given some rest rather give chance to some new player.

I would also say that Australia has The upper hand in this match. Australia has more power hitters and their bowling is also good. The bowlers seem to hit the Deck hard and also maintain their line and length very well. And the batsman of Australia can play really innovative shots under pressure which can disturb the opponent bowlers and captain mentally because then the opposing captain has to set the field for something unusual. Overall I think Australia I will win.

Yes toss is the major key. In UAE, you win half of the game on toss. But if you see Pak vs Aus game yesterday, it was very much balanced till 19th over. If Pakistan didn't dropped catch of Wade the result could be very different. I suggest don't just put bet base on toss in the final. Both NZ and Aus are very much balanced sides and if side batting first can score 185+ runs, it will be very interesting to see the chase.

I will only advice you to not to get too excited after seeing the toss and place the bet on the team batting second. What if the team batting first is able to make 200+ runs making it extremely difficult to chase this in the second innings. Also chasing a 170 runs wont be easy as there will be the pressure of the final.

And how many times in this tournament we have seen a score in excess of 200? It is not easy as it sounds. Especially in the UAE, overs 7-15 have proven to be very difficult for scoring. I can't remember a single one out of the 16 teams performing well with the bat on a consistent basis during this phase. It should not happen ideally, but in the UAE, teams batting second are having an unfair advantage. And this happened during both the semi-final matches. So toss is very important for the final and the team winning it will have a greater chance of lifting the trophy.
