Really disappointed with the way South Africa batted but the bowlers are trying their best to pull this match close than i expected as Australia already lost their top 3 and Steven Smith and Glenn Maxwell are in the crease and they need to build the partnership because one more wicket here and Australia will be under pressure. Still i think Australia could win the match as the total is not that great.

I was also very disappointed with their batting, but their bowling give them very good fight back now Australian's still favourite, but now they need some good effort for winning this match very good bowling from Nortje, Shamsi and Maharaj. South Africa gave only a target of 119 runs. Australia needs less than 6 runs per over to win. South Africa lost their first wicket by 13 runs at the start of the match. They lost 3 wickets in 23 runs. After that they could not come in the truck. Throughout the match, we have seen the dominance of the Australian bowlers. Australia seemed weak before the World Cup, but looking at their performance in today's match, it seems that they are the favorites of this World Cup.

Don't expect too much from the Australian team. Before the World Cup, they conceded a humiliating defeat against a team like Bangladesh. Their gameplay on the Mirpur pitch was very weak and disappointing. UAE pitches also help spin. It doesn't look like they can do very well here. Aaronn Finch returned to the dressing room with a zero run of 5 balls. The Australians have to play very carefully in those 6 overs of the power play.

After the power play, team Australia is able to collect only 28 runs by losing 2 valuable wickets. Aaron Finch is got a duck and Warner was out for 14 runs. If Australia wants to reach the semi-finals, they will need Warner's help. He is a very experienced player. If he gets back to form, the team in Australia will be strong again. If Aaron Finch and Warner can start the match well, and are able to do a good partnership Australia can easily beat any team. f the openers can't perform well, the big collection is very tough for the Batsmen.

The first 6 overs are going to be very important. Because, from what we have seen so far, batting gets very difficult after the initial power play. David Warner made just 14 today, while the captain Aaron Finch got out for a duck. With such difficult conditions, experienced players like Steve Smith holds the key. The playing conditions are not suitable for big hitters like Warner, Maxwell and Stoinis. If they get going, then good for them. But the pitch conditions are not suitable for their style of playing.

No fire works from West Indies as they lost 2 early wickets just 14 balls 9 runs on board 2 wickets down Lewis and Simmons both gone poor start for West Indies. Now two seasoned players at crease Gayle and Hetmyer lets watch what they can do for their team because I was expecting an interesting competition but now looking England will be done this all very accurately without any big hurdle.

This was expecting because South Africa current form is good but always when they are playing against Aussies they have few issues and feel some serious pressure which hurt them, so same happen in this match their batting completely fail and no one able to have some good runs on board but good thing their bowling done good job for them and done some fight because Aussies batting is also not in full touch, but they have some good number of all-rounders which is good advantage for them.

Now in the second match England won the toss and elected to field, it's going to be a good match,  West Indies lost 5 wickets for 42 runs so it is going to be easy win for England.

Both teams bowled extremely well! The result would have been different if Nortje hadn't missed the Stonis opportunity. In bowling, the South Africans tried their best to defend the low score. Steve Smith is an unsung hero. With Smith in the middle and Stoinis at the end, Australia wins in a tight contest. It's a low scoring thriller that certainly isn't for the fainthearted.

I should have known that West Indies was in a terrible place after watching their warm up matches. I thought they would score around 140 runs even when they lost a couple of wickets in the start but to loose all the wickets one after the other and struggling to get past 50 runs is terrible. An easy win for England and there is nothing much left in this match. Terrible performance by West Indies.
In the other match i thought Australia would win easily but South Africa bowled really well and took the game till the last over which was incredible. There were some miss fielding from the South African players and if they could have tighten that may be you never know they could have won.

That was a poor display of cricket by the West Indies team. They were the champions of the last T20 world cup and i never expected them to score 55 runs only in the first match. That's a shame for them.

Everyone is hoping to see good tight matches but these one sided matches just take the interest away from the game. I am tune to another channel on the TV and watching news now.

West Indies is a team that give unexpected performance as well as disappointments. What has happened in this match is pure disappointment. West Indies team always lack consistency in its performance. Probably the next match will be quite interesting. Most teams find it difficult to play their natural cricket on the Dubai stadium. England too playing worse, because within 39 runs it has lost its 4th wicket. Finally England have managed to make an easy winning with 70 balls and 6 wickets left.

Are the T20 World Cup being played in different pitches than they played the IPL, why are the teams struggling to score runs, the way in which South Africa and Australia struggled and then West Indies played another blunder of an innings and chasing a small total England also struggled as they also lost 4 wickets scoring 56 runs.

Very poor powerplay. Proteas looking really bad, Maxwell and Josh Hazelwood using their IPL experience quite well.

Faf, AB, Tahir and Chris Morris must be sitting in their shorts, sipping wine and on zoom call talking with each other. Did selectors left you too? 

IPL experience was crucial as the players who played are performing better during the tournament and i have no idea why they left out Faf du Plessis and Imran Tahir is one of their best spinners in the shorter format and turning away from ABD even though he did not perform that well during the recent IPL, he is a player that could change the match anytime.

One thing i was impressed is the way in which Temba Bavuma captained the side defending a small total, apart from the last over he was troubling the Australian batsman with his bowling changes and field placement which was great.

I doubt it was the pitch for yesterday's match. Lack of experience and the urge to hit only boundaries by the WI batsmen was the only reason why they were not able to score good runs on the board. Taking quick singles can also help a team to score good runs.

Only batsmen who can dig in and adjust to the pitch conditions will score runs in this edition of the world cup. Before the West Indies vs England match, there was Australia vs South Africa. And during that match, it was Steve Smith who top-scored for Australia. That tells a lot about the ground conditions. And incidentally, this increases the chances of upset. I won't be too surprised if Namibia or Scotland manages to defeat at least one test playing nation in the second phase of the tournament.

West Indies batsmen are good for short bursts. But they always fail to perform as a team. But I was expecting a better performance from the players, given the fact that many of the players had taken part in the recently concluded IPL. They had an idea about the ground/weather conditions. And there is no dearth of experience in the playing XI, with players such as Pollard, Gayle, Bravo and Russell.

Yes, it's a big game for both countries as India only play Pakistan in worldcup where its mandatory. Pakistan has played good amount of cricket at uae in last 10 years while India has recently played IPL here. Both have these edge.
If we talks about odds then India has 1.4 while Pakistan has 2.6, clearly India is ahead. In T20 format its very difficult to predict the winner.
But main point is Pakistan never won against India in WC, can they do it now?

In today's first match, Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka and in the second match, Pakistan will play India. These two will be the most competitive matches of the tournament. Because in the first day's match, watching the batting of teams like South Africa, Australia, West Indies and England, it seems that there is a lot of opportunity for slow pitch and spin bowlers to do well.
