And secondly, Gujarat's top order collapsed early in the innings. They lost 3 wickets for just 5 runs and Gujarat lost the fifth wicket for 23 runs. Now it seems that even scoring 50 runs is challenging for them.

The Gujarat giants conceded a humiliating defeat in the first match. They will probably lose by 130-140 runs.

Mumbai Indians Women's big target of 207 runs was the main reason for Gujarat Giants' disaster. But Gujarat Giants should have played better. There will be wins and losses, but even if they scored 150 runs against 207 runs, it would have kept the team's image intact. Mumbai Indians Women are not only good at batting, they are also known as a strong team in bowling. When they were batting they seemed to have more ability to increase the run rate. Hope Womens Premier League 2023 other matches will be full of competition.

6 World Cup wins? Wow. These ladies are making the World Cup look like some common domestic league. Australia has always dominated in the men's format and they are dominating in the woman's format too.

It's pretty clear that their training methods are very, very effective. Both India and South Africa fought well in the semi-finals though India barely lost while SA barely won.
I am glad to see the South Africans finally reaching the finals without choking even though they didn't win the cup ultimately. Legendary stuff Australian women's team!

Once it was Australia men's team that wins each and every match and the tournament. With the performance coming out of the Australia Women's team, now the competence is between the Australia Women's team and men's team. Australia Women's team have won its 6th T20 World Cup. Will Australia men's team will win its 6th World Cup in the upcoming ODI format cricket World Cup.

I think Haunebu mean the Australian women winning the cup. It was a good performance from Australia. In Australia cricket is very natural to people. That's why both Australian men and women dominate cricket. Australian men have dominated cricket for a long time. And now it's the turn for Australian women. The performance that Australian women put in in this tournament was absolutely unbelievable.

Australian team is undoubtedly a great  team. They have won the world cup for the seventh time - there are a lot of lessons we should learn from them both men and women team. Hard work and resilience is one of them

Start from Mumbai was good with their batting give them good advantage but after having target like this Gujrat lost their main player Beth Mooney due to injury which was big setback and second Saika Ishaque bowling completely ruin their inning but still they can fight back in coming matches because this was first match of the event and things were completely new for the most players which is also problem but now today we can expect good interesting cricket from all four teams while Bangalore and Delhi are going to play their first match and Gujrat are going to face UP for their second consecutive match of this season hopefully today if we have Beth Mooney available then Gujrat could be at his best, and they can win their first match after losing first match by big margin.

True. This is the first time that I bet on a women's cricket team and ended up winning me bet quite comfortably thanks to Mumbai knocking Gujarat into the heavens. I was stunned to see Gujarat getting out for such a small score.

We are witnessing another one sided match today between DC and RCB. Shafali Verma was on fier today. Every shot that she hit was a classic example of perfect timing. The support that she got from the captain was amazing. Both of them were hitting the ball around every corner of the stadium.

DC today broke the record of highest runs by team batting first by MI. Two matches and the bar has been set very high by these two teams. I was expecting Mandana to do the same but it seems most players who are bought at a high rate tend to not perform in Indian league. Overall in my opinion WPL 2023 is going to be a hit with Indian cricket loving audience.

The performance of Delhi's batsmen surprised me. The two openers started brilliantly. Lanning scored 72 runs and Shafali Verma scored 84 runs. Mumbai and Delhi performed as well in the first two matches. It seems that one of these two teams will win this year's WPL title.

The second T20 match in the WPL yesterday against Giant and Warriorz was pretty close. Warriorz won because of incredible batting by Grace Harris, she made 59 in just 26 balls. The target given by Giants was not that bad. It was competitive for the Giants to win as Warriorz with just 1 ball left. Such close-finish matches are what make league cricket worth watching.

Mumbai Delhi's batting line-up is very strong. And from this, it can be deduced that women's cricket is improving day by day. I felt the same way. Several 200+ scores in just the first couple of games surprised me and made me realise that these ladies are playing as well as their male counterparts which is great overall.

Mumbai and Delhi performed as well in the first two matches. It seems that one of these two teams will win this year's WPL title.

Expecting one of these teams to win just because of their initial wins is silly. You are forgetting how volatile this format truly is.
